With that, the morale of the creatures is shattered. Both turn and prepare to flee.

If you wish to pursue you can attempt a DEX check, otherwise they will escape into the various nooks and crannies of the station once more.

Sal looks around carefully, then holsters his beamer and pulls his first aid kit from his belt. "Doc," he says, holding out the kit, "give Smokey a hand, will ya?"

Seeing the alien feline-like creatures retreat into the dark areas of the station, Kur'Uk bellows out a loud, long, and ferocious roar born out of victory- and pain.

He then moves closer to the rest of the crew to regroup.

With blood dripping off his fur, Smokey stands before Sal and says contritely, "sorry, Skipper. They got the drop on me."

Sal shrugs. "There's opacaine in there, if ya want it." He checks his wrist computer, and looks for the way toward the aitch-two tank.

A thought occurs to him. "Hey, do the squiddos keep them cats as pets or sumthin'?"

Smokey nods his large and flat head in acknowledgment, and then turns to Faraday and points at the med kit in his hand as he says, "can you patch me up, Doc?"

Tig straps some plastic fiber repair tape over the ripped part of his armor, then says, "yeah, my Brother has one of those things as a pet. I never considered how much them claws would hurt. Dad Gum! Pass across that Opacaine when you're done with it!"

"Go easy with them drugs," Sal warns, looking up from the wrist computer. "I got two doses of opacaine in there, so only use if if you gotta have it."

After identifying the route to the hydrogen tank, Sal steps over to the kiosk to check it out.

There are two open entryways to the landing bay to the south, the entryways back to the east, and doors at either of the narrow angles of the triangle, one to the west and one to the north.
