This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Your Top 5 Rifts Classes?

I was going to do a poll, but there are 30 classes in the corebook, 8 or so poll options, and we'd get maybe 10 votes total. So let's do this manually.

In a surprise turn of events, I haven't made up my mind yet, but don't let that keep you. 5 classes, and perhaps a one-sentence statement as to why.

Pseudoephedrine

The "iconics" of Rifts - Juicer, Glitter Boy, Mind Melter, Technowizard and Borg. I actually prefer to play some of the other classes (Cyberknights, Crazies, Headhunters) more, but I think that the ones I listed above are the most distinctive and memorable classes in the corebook. When I think of "Rifts" I immediately think of those five OCC/RCCs.
Running
The Pernicious Light, or The Wreckers of Sword Island;
A Goblin\'s Progress, or Of Cannons and Canons;
An Oration on the Dignity of Tash, or On the Elves and Their Lies
All for S&W Complete
Playing: Dark Heresy, WFRP 2e

Abyssal Maw

My favorites are:

City Rat (for the skills)
Headhunter (for the gear)
Linewalker (for the cool)
I also like RCCs, like monster characters or dragons.
Download Secret Santicore! (10MB). I painted the cover :)

Rogue Scholars
Gunfighters (New West)
Psi-Slingers (New West)
Nega-Psychic (Psyscape)
Juicers

And about 70 runner-ups. :D

I'm really found of the Vagabond, for no good reason.  Just playing a scrub wandering the weird American landscape really appeals to me.  Like Easy Rider but with more mutants and explosions.

Oh, too right.  Fantastic class.  Remind me to tell you about my all-vagabond Rifts campaign some time. :)

I have pondered the matter sufficiently now.

Cyber-Knight (he's cool as is but the BIONIC HORSE on p.66 makes him megacool)

Glitter Boy (c'mon, he's got to be in the mix...)

Dragon Hatchling!!!! (provided the rules are drifted such that he/it is naive, but not in a five-year-old kid kind of way)

Techno-Wizard (TK Flyer! Iceblast Shotgun!)

Vagabond! (You guys made me look him up again, and whaddayaknow... he's the Rifts version of the Bard! AND he's something else: he's the weakest class in the game but also the, well, most humane one. That is a very cool thing. Same goes for the Rogue Scholar, but he's tainted by the fact that Erin Tarn is one.)

Back before I cast all things RIFTS from my sight, I dug Tattoo Men and Mind Bleeders.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

I love the Golden Girls. But this is different.
