This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). I just use them for my old RuneQuest games.
Good for rolling stats. :)

Awsome cuffs, Darran. :)

Those inky blue dice are definitely cool, Benoist.

I don't buy dice with gold painted numbers anymore.

I had a real nice set of black marble with gold numbers and over several years the gold paint washed away on some of the dice.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen to a set of his dice that had gold numbers.

The gold paint isn't as resistant to human oils I guess.

I like those inky blues.

My wife's got some emerald sparkle chessex dice with gold painted numbers, and in a matter of months the gold paint turned copper, then brown, leaving the numbers bland and pretty much unreadable. That sucks. I too am no longer buying dice with gold painted numbers because of this.

I don't have a favorite set... I've never been a collector of dice... I don't seek them out or pay much attention to them. What I've got came out of various boxed games, wargames, whatever.

I have, however, been kinda lusting after these... http://www.irondie.com/Dadi.aspx

"In a way, the Lands of Dream are far more brutal than the worlds of most mainstream games. All of the games set there have a bittersweetness that I find much harder to take than the ridiculous adolescent posturing of so-called \'grittily realistic\' games. So maybe one reason I like them as a setting is because they are far more like the real world: colourful, crazy, full of strange creatures and people, eternal and yet changing, deeply beautiful and sometimes profoundly bitter."

Quote from: Benoist;366491Talk to me about your dice!

I think my favorite dice are my old GDW d6s in white and red with black pips, the ones that used to come with Traveller and the other GDW boxed games.  They're smaller than the standard Milton Bradley board game d6 and have held up well over the years.  They just feel right, even when I used a dozen of them for Champions.

Honorable mention go to my Fudge dice (the look on the clerks at some hobby shops when I used to ask about "Fudge dice" was classic when they had no idea what I was talking about) and my Chessex Chaos d6s and the rest of the black with red lettering d6 I used when I GMed Warhammer FRP.
