I'm getting a prefrontal lobotomy just to make sure I can't remember anything about it and I suggest you do the same. And if you don't you're a fuckwit.

Can anyone remember how gaming was before X? It was good. We turned up, we ate chips, drank mountain dew and swore like troupers. Like real men. Men! None of your henpecked cowdung bullshit pig gamers that you get now, who go crying to their mummies at the first sign of deport, deprat, deportig, fucking whatever it is.

Your character lived and died like a man. Like you. And if your character died, we all ripped the shit out of you, like the crybaby you were.

But now there's X with Y. What's all that about? Now your character does all this "cool" stuff, there are no comebacks and your character only dies if you want it to! You'll be wanting to be tucked up in bed next.

So, if you're going to Gen Con, and you see Z, and he's there promoting X, just walk up and punch him the face. Yeah! Right between the eyes, for real gamers everywhere.

Dear Pundit's Face:

   Making fun of people who get off on slamming other people's games is funny, mostly because we get to be ridiculous and stupid and sometimes even use unusual letters.  

In addition, even if it is ham-fisted satire, it's pretty harmless and might even provoke real, solid discussion once we all stop giggling.
