(This is a joke "story", but knowing how things go, I fully expect something like this to happen.)

WOTC announced today that the term "Dungeon" and the plural "Dungeons" will no longer be used in published WOTC materials.   And that the new title for the brand is now simply known as "& Dragons".  WOTC announced that the problematic term is a cause for concern by the DEI team and the creative team has agreed to the change.  The term is full of racially charged trauma that is offensive to many different people groups.  Especially those of color, WOTC emphasized.  Many people of color in history have been thrown into dungeons simply because of their socio-economic and racial make-up.  WOTC went on to say that they did not wish to emphasize the horror of the past.  Instead of calling the play environment "dungeons", WOTC now will simply call it "play theater".  WOTC went on to describe how play theater is a better term, as many stories take place outside the confines of what may be described as a "dungeon".

WOTC also commented on how they are working on ways to encourage players to not have their player characters break into foreign species homes in order to kill them and steal their possessions.  WOTC commented that they could think of no eviler act then breaking into someone's safe space, killing them and their family, and taking their megger collection of goods.  This kind of harmful game-space needs to be discouraged.

They would NEVER get rid of "Dungeons" on the simple basis that too many wokesters are into BDSM and treat that stuff like it's normal (where do you think that "Safety Tools" REALLY come from? ).

This kinda misses the point of the joke I was trying to make, but 1) wokesters do not consider themselves to be "racist", even though they are, and 2) they've tried to get rid of "race" as part of the mental gymnastics behind their ideology that explicitly define "race" as a "social construct", blah, blah, blah, which makes it a sticking point as part of what they're trying to sell. Whereas "Dungeons" are more of a medieval European thing that I'm not sure even exist as part of the cultural zeitgeist behind the history of slavery and racism in the US (the center of the Universe, where woke ideology comes from), but have become part of the BDSM subculture which many wokesters seem to love.
