This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Agreed.  I haven't checked his channel any further.  Do we know if he actually even plays RPGS (D&D and the like)?  Or is he just an SJW shill?

Well someone has to play 'No Tears Over Spilled Coffee': https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/1118-free-d-d-adventure-work-at-strixhavens-firejolt

I know I fucking won't.

When I heard about this (I think from the Pundit) I thought it was a joke or he was just employing Hyperbole.  When I actually saw it was real I was like holy god, someone thought this was a good idea.

What the fuck is this nonsense?  Playing as baristas in a fantasy RPG adventure?

I never caught the Harry Potter bug, but even then, this Strixhaven setting looks like fucking nonsense.  Bless the hearts of those who like that kind of stuff.

I

I just love it when somebody discovers that coffee shop "adventure" is REAL and not a joke or an exaggeration.

Well in fairness people on this site sometimes slip into hyperbole about things so it's not always easy to tell if they are being real or just being silly.

I think it might be fun for like 5 minutes and then get really boring.  I don't think working in a REAL Starbucks would be interesting for more than 5 minutes, how would it be any better in a D&D game?

Well DUH! It's because you can go to work in your Fursona, silly!
I'm a middle aged guy with a lot of free time, looking for similar, to form a group for regular gaming. You should be chill, non-woke, and have time on your hands.

Yeah I am not sure why I didnt think about that.

Might use the map though.  It could be useful as a bar and not a coffee shop.

Corolinth

I thought references to the coffee shop adventure were exaggerated and metaphorical. Mostly true, but not exactly. For example, there's a scene where you're working as employees in something like a coffee shop as part of a larger effort. Like you're gathering information for some future leg of the adventure.

I did not realize it was the entire adventure, unto itself. I will confess that is news to me.

I'm shocked. SHOCKED! Well not that shocked.

With all of the woke, stupid people involved in D&D these days while I was surprised, I wasn't shocked.

I looked at it for a moment, nodded and went "this makes sense".
