This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looking for a decent map/city/room creator for Shadowrun.

Hi! ^.^

I'm trying to find a decent city, building and room creator/generator specifically for the Shadowrun setting.

If anyone can give me some advice on what to get, be it free or through purchase, I'd be much appreciative ^.^

Thank you!

A random map generator? For Shadowrun?

Just pick a map from Google or any SR fan page. You can also buy the classic Sprawl Sites.

Are you wanting to make maps of your own? Google's Sketchup program might let you do that. I've only poked at it, but you might take a look at it.

For modern city campaigns I tend to find atlas maps a bit cumbersome.  I find the maps in phonebooks much more manageable as they frequently chop out less important streets and usually have useful landmarks indicated.

Yup...especially for office buildings, bars, rooms etc etc.  Usually I use a whiteboard but having a "blueprint" of a location adds more flavor to the game ^.^

Thanks for the recommendation...definitely trying that one out.

I'm also trying Smartdraw...very user friendly and good selection of props and templates.
