This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Anyone watching this announcement of upcoming D&D products?

I've been skeptical of what they would do with Dragonlance, but the little bit they showed looks promising.

I was right to be skeptical. What a sh*t show.

Got taken down fast?

What did it say?

From the playtest:

"An ardling has a head resembling that of an animal, typically one with virtuous associations. Depending on the animal, the ardling might also have soft fur, downy feathers, or supple bare skin."

Shout out to the species dysphoric community. You called next apparently.

I can't be the only person that noticed this phrase straight out of a "romance" novel. What the hell kind of description is that? Is this a sex game?
Old School? Back in my day we just called it "School."

Quote from: Omega on December 11, 2023, 04:53:30 AMNot wrong either. The OSR is not as unassailable as people think and the woke are making steady inroads into various publishers now.

The idea that OSR didn't have anything to fear from Wokesters was always silly.
I'm a middle aged guy with a lot of free time, looking for similar, to form a group for regular gaming. You should be chill, non-woke, and have time on your hands.

Yes, modern 5e is equivalent to a virtual world online server, where Furries and associated fetishists act out personas. That's why the fighting, dying and adventuring are constantly trimmed away; while the anthropomorphic player choices are increased, and the adventures are all affirming.

They don't need D&D for that. Just get a VTT for Bunnies & Burrows and literally hump each other like rabbits.
Quote from: JonWakeGamers, as a whole, are much like primitive cavemen when confronted with a new game. Rather than \'oh, neat, what\'s this do?\', the reaction is to decide if it\'s a sex hole, then hit it with a rock.

Quote from: Old Geezer;724252At some point it seems like D&D is going to disappear up its own ass.

Quote from: Kyle Aaron;766997In the randomness of the dice lies the seed for the great oak of creativity and fun. The great virtue of the dice is that they come without boxed text.

Im sorry. You must be lost. The line to applying for Village Idiot here is over there.
