This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Why the Sahuagin rock your socks

Quote from: tellius;613423Assuming some handy spells from a shark-dude, like the reverse of 'water breathing' and 'flight', sharks could still be a rather nasty surprise on dry land. Maybe a Bulette actually is attempts by Sahuagin to breed actual 'land sharks' to assist their onshore attacks.

"Who's there?"
"Ah, yes, ma'am, we've come to take up a collection for the Salvation Army, if you'd like to open your door to talk..."
"Oh, you can't fool me!  You're that landshark, aren't you?"
"...Candygram..."
-My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, any place, any time. And anyone who disagrees with this can pick a number, get in line and kiss my ass.

Quote from: Sacrosanct;613491sah-HWAH-gin.  That's how DDO pronounces it anyway.  Speaking of which, DDO (and Neverwinter Nights) utilized them quite a bit as their main low level bad guys.
If you buy the Red Fens adventure pack, they're also a mid-level challenge, that you face on the ocean floor (and make Fire-based or Cloud-based casters useless). Never saw any sharks, though.

DM: "you guys are deep inside the gnarley woods when you suddenly come across a long-reaching river canal.."

players: "for fuck's sake, bob!  I know they're your favorite fucking villains but EVERY SINGLE ADVENTURE, there has to be a goddamned canal... or a fjord.. or an inlet... I mean jesus christ, we were in the Desert of Dryness last week just to get away from your fucking sahaugin and you introduced a fucking aquifer!"
