I'll start off with my fundamental argument: d20 is better than Unisystem because Maddman doesn't like it.  

Beyond that, though, d20 is better because people have actually heard of it and I can find players for it.

d20 is better because it is completely un-tainted by Buffy.  And even when they did adapt a suck-ass setting (Wheel of Time), they made it BETTER.  Fuck, I never would have tried those lame ass books if it wasn't for the very well done RPG book.

d20 is better because I get to buy lots and lots of thick, heavy books.  When I get in a rumble with Maddman, he has to defend himself with a wimpy little paperback, while I can start flingin' HARDBACKS at his head.

I could go on and on, but I can already hear Maddman whimpering for mercy.  So why is YOUR game system better than fucktarded Unisystem?

Burning Wheel is focused on the consequences of your decisions, from chargen to every die roll. Good and focused and modular.

Better than Unisystem? I don't know. I have to admit that d20 is my favorite at the moment, but I won't say it's BETTER than Unisystem. On the other hand, I won't say Unisystem is better than d20. I know Maddman has been a Unisystem fan for several years and has been burnt out on d20 & D&D. Afterall, he runs Buffy in my living room every other week.

Unisystem has a nice simplicity to it. I've only been playing it a few months and never really looked through to book except to make my character; but I feel confident that I know the mechanics pretty well. In fact, the current Buffy game is one of the best games I've ever played, and we have two complete newbies to role-playing in it.

D&D has always been my game of choice, though, with the d20 version being my favorite of the 3+ editions. I'll be starting up a campaign or two by the end of summer or earlier and will be running d20 D&D.

Of course, Madmann is a bastard. You know why, too.....
