This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Why Crabs?

I continue to fail to get what the Nutkins are doing here... where does the term "Crabs" come from? Is it just a reference to my own crabbiness?

I mean, I agree that "pundits" wasn't a good term for the group; that's my role, not my entire side's designation.

Look, you named the other guys Swine, right? Which is the derogatory term I  imposed on them.  Why not call our side the Proxies?  That word was a derogatory term invented by Nikchick, after all, which was meant to imply that anyone who'd ever read my site and posted to RPG.net with similar lines of argument was nothing more than a soul-less proxy for my will. For a long time now, on the blog, we have been using Proxies as a joking self-reference; the Proxy Army, working together to crush the Swine.

If you're looking for a good name for "my" side, the Proxy Army would be it.

hmm, I rather thought that the Coalition of Roleplayers Against Bogus Scene-acting (C.R.A.B.S.) was a good juxtaposition for the Society Without Ignorance Negating Entertainment (S.W.I.N.E.)

:melodramatic:

Sure, I "invented" the term.  Hell, I "invented" the whole concept that friends of a person who's been banned from a forum would post his ideas there for him!  That never, ever happend before I "invented" it.  Fear me and my crazy power before I "invent" something else!

You're a dangerous woman.  You could make entire civilizations fall.  ;)

Pundit: I don't think CRABS is even a fraction as silly as the silly sons of bitches who are *willingly* calling themselves "SWINE".

Calling people "proxies" because they happen to agree on something with Pundit is as derogatory as calling you "Pramas' wife" because you happen to agree with Chris Pramas on something.

I have no problem with CRABS; and people seem to like it, so that's cool. The CRABS can be the general group of people who are anti-Swine without necessarily demonstrating a fanatical loyalty to my person.

But remember, according to Nikchick: you visit my Blog even ONCE, and you might become a PROXY: sapped of all will, only able to obey, doomed from then on to serve your new dark lord! I'll make you post things on RPG.net that are vaguely similar to my own ideas, in order to annoy Nikchick!! Bwah hah hah hah hah!!

If Nikchick likes pie and the Pundit also likes pie, and Nikchik posts on a forum where the Pundit has been banned that she likes pie as well, doesn't that make her a Proxy?  'Cause it may have happened at some point.

Maybe so. But at least I don't make demands on the Nutkins.

You should get a Manifesto.  People with Manifestos immediately change from "whiners" to "movement leaders".  This most commonly occurs with college students and avant-garde artistes.

I'm just not that motivated to do so, I guess. I was more just making a smart-assed observation up above than anything else. Plus, I was offered the option to change my title, but kept it because it's funny, and I try to not take myself very seriously. I don't always succeed is the problem...
