SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Where you there, when they swine-ified our game?

This again.

Can we just say, once again, that some people consider fudging to be cheating and some don't, and move on?  Because every time this thread's post count increases, my IQ diminishes.

Then don't read it.  It's one thread.  Avoid it.  I find it interesting.

Ain't nothing wrong with the thread save that this particular point has been going round in circles for about a week now with no ground being made because it's a clash of ideologies.

It's like watching retarded chimpanzees bashing their heads against the bars screeching at each other.

I don't consider it to be cheating in the traditional competitive sense.

I consider it to be more akin to cheating at solitaire. I mean, why do it? There's no reason to fudge. You are the GM, right? Make the rules do what you need them to do. It's just a waste of your time to roll the dice, then ignore it.

Half of me wants to explain that further, but I sort of feel like this is itching to be a new (old?) thread.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
