This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I hate being between games...

I hate being between games.

I've just ended my C&C game which ended rightly although too soon.  We're going to be playing some one shots starting next week, but until then I don't know what to do.  Normally I surf around the net looking for cool stuff about the game I'm going to start...but it doesn't work when I don't have a game.

It's just harder to "get into" gaming stuff when I don't have a mission you know?

Anyone else have the same problems between games or am I just a spoiled brat for having so little down time?

Yep, I'm the same. Suxxorz!

I also get nervous around this time of year, since with the Christmas/New Year break, a lot of games stop, and with the loss of continuity, many groups break up. So I always think, fuck, do I have to recruit players again...

This time of year's also a pain because no-one will start new games now. As a guy who's usually the GM and only rarely a player, that's no good.

Yeap.  I'd been putting together a one-on-one Iron Heroes game for my girlfriend the last month, and then the business of us moving come up a bit quicker than expected.

So, game's delayed for another month, at least.  Hell, any real work on the game is delayed, to make time for packing.

And what am I doing on here instead of fiddling around with that game?  Umm...err....
