This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Oathbound is totally awesome. It has not only tons of sheer imagination and sense of wonder oozing every page, moreover it is the only campaign setting in the history of D&D that makes sense of the level progresion and eventual endgame, incorporating it in the own nature of the world.

(Plus, you can nicely recreate the old trope of "normal people dragged to a fantasy world" a là Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series).

I command you, tell me more. I have never understood Oathbound.
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

another vote for scarred lands.

since then, hellfrost looks interesting, but haven't picked it up yet.

I have the three core books. It's very cool. Um, no pun intended there. Seriously. The main Player's Guide is all Savage Worlds crunch that can be used in any SW fantasy game. But the world and monster books are fuckin' awesome. I love the setting and wish I could muster up some excitement in my group for it. But right now it's all about Realms of Cthulhu and Savage Bioshock.

So yes, Hellfrost is a thumbs up.

Yes, M&M is not a parody its just an alternate history experiment based on a kind of ridiculous premise.
