This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Whatever Happened to This?

Years ago i was looking foward to it, then it seemed to vanish. Any ideas?

At the time this cover was released, i think it was meant to be a supplement for Starblazer Adventures. All i've ever seen is a slim volume for BRP.

Last published item was City People and Dominion Quick Start & Adventure in 2016. Both for Mindjammer which she recently KSed again apparently.

Hardback for Future Earth was put out by Mophidious in 2015 for 6thy edition Runequest. Just short of 300 pages. Looks like it was a standalone setting book from what Im reading.

I wish... but that didn't happen. When Chaosium started its big shakeup a while back the project shifted down to wait-n-see mode and AFAIK nothing more has come of it.

Quote from: One Horse Town;934679Ah, Runequest 6. Shame.
Fuck you, it would have been glorious!

and about £60. They don't half over-charge for their stuff. IMHO of course.

Mythras is $40 (rounding up)... Seems about the going rate for big hardback core rules these days. The Modiphius stuff looks to be pricier.

75$ for a 300 page hardbound? Sorry. No.

That's a Mindjammer/Modiphius thing though... not Design Mechanism. Maybe I misunderstood OHT's use of 'they'.

No... but if you look in their forums there's a thread on it where Ms. Newton hems and haws about it and then... nothing. It might be something she's shopping around, but there hasn't been any news in quite a while.

If ever a cover sold me on anything it's that one!

Someone should get in contact with Sarah so it can see the light of day in the form it was first touted.

Loz confirmed it's not gonna happen with Mythras.

Dunno what direction she's going to head, hope it's not Fate or 2d20.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

5e at 300+ pages for 50$ each. Pre-ordered for 30$ each. Volo's Guide I think is overpriced by comparison at 50$ for 250 pages. (But pre-ordered that too for 30$) But not by much really. Id have priced it at 45$.

No PDF over at OBS (that I could find anyway. Their mobile interface... ugh). Pity. I'd be all over it, probably.

Omega

Yeah the links to OBS are DOA. So either it was going to be there and never was. Or was up only a short time.

They ran us about $65, but then again, I should have clarified, I am speaking in Canadian dollars.

On the other hand the FFG Star Wars core books were 80CDN a pop.  And yeah, being a massive SW fan, I went for it.
