This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

by our own Greentongue.

Interesting stuff I thought folk here might be interested in, also, if Greentongue is here I'd be interested in knowing the background to this and when the last two bits will be up.

Any actual play stories would also be interesting.

In the Official Savage Worlds forum there was one of those "Post an Adventure Idea" threads that I responded to.  I picked the concept of adventures that might occur during the Great Flood of 1927 and posted a series of them.
Since that hadn't been the point of the thread, I moved them to their own and realized that I had a nice series that could be chained together.

As I got time and the stray motivation, I started polishing and publishing them.

Number 7, "Fox in the Henhouse", is 75% done and the last one, "Raindancer" is 25% done.

Since there has been little interest and it is very hard to find people to play them, it has been slow going.  ( Easy to get distracted by other things.)

Glad you are interested. I am certainly open to opinions/suggestions on them.

One thing that struck me as being potentially a cool scene.

The toad-men are basically stone age, Aztec equivalents, which will lead to the PCs making certain assumptions about them generally.

But on Earth, stone age cultures exist right now still, and in the 1930s many more of them.

After the PCs battle the toad men and their cruel empire, perhaps as they leave they see in the distance a zeppelin or somesuch, clearly crewed by toad men and clearly indicating that all the PCs assumptions about their foes are wrong, they are not all primitive, some of them are as advanced or nearabouts as us.

Could be quite a chilling scene I'd have thought.

Even better, the local toad-men have called for assistance from the government, and they've sent the toad-man equivalent of the Mounties to investigate. One eldrictch incursion, one Mountie.
Any one who thinks he knows America has never been to America.

For added humour value, a motley assortment of say four to six toadmen appear investigating matters.  One may be wearing a trenchcoat...

The idea of a toadmen PC party come to investigate the ape-men horror from beyond (as they would see it) is quite amusing.

You rub my back, I'll rub yours!  Publishing free labors of love is a thankless biz fer sure!  Savage Worlds fans (love em to death) seemed to be more "spoiled" by good stuff than most and seems to make them less (vocally) thankful, but I'm sure they are reading, playing, and appreciating your efforts.

These thoughts/suggestions are Exactly what I'm trying to stimulate with this series of episodes.  As you may have noticed each are intended to be a slightly different type of adventure while leading player through the setting.

The "Lost World" style of #6 can certainly be expanded on if that is what the players get fired up about.

If I can just get a map I like the look of, "Fox in the Henhouse" will be ready for posting.

I'll then work on the last Episode and with it, the saving of the world as we know it.

Arriving at the source of the fog.
Fox in the Henhouse.

Episode #7 has been posted. A hand drawn map will have to do or I might never get it done.

No matter how many times I look it over, always seem to miss something.
Fixed what I found.

Hope people find this one fun since there can be additional drama between the three basic sides.
The Vultures want the machine on and the birds dead.
The Scientists want the birds dead.
The Players most likely want the machine off and the birds dead.
All the men want Daphene.
Daphene wants Science!
The Pilot wants his plane in the air.

That should be enough to start things off.
