This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

72 Forms

While reading about the Immortal Monkey he mentions having mastered seventy-two forms. In the context of the story this was touted as a major achievement. Which got me thinking. Whether in a D&D, Pathfinder game or the real world, having seventy-two forms at hand would be useful. So some ground rules:

Standard action to change form, duration unlimited.
You get your or the forms stats whichever is higher. Thus allowing you access to all the abilities and spells.
You just get the abilities and standard spells listed but none of the equipment.
Only official D&D and Pathfinder sources will be considered.

Here is the incomplete list I came up with:

72 Forms (Inspired by Monkey)

Bestiary:
Angel, Solar
Metallic Dragon, Gold, Great Wyrm
Elemental, Air, Elder
Elemental, Earth, Elder
Elemental, Fire, Elder
Elemental, Water, Elder
Genie, Marid
Ghost [Ultimate spy.]
Owlbear [How could I not?]
Tarrasque [Possibly unique and not eligible.]
Treant [For my wife's love of Tolkien.]

Bestiary 2:
Aeon, Pleroma
Golem, Adamantine [Hulk SMASH!]
Jabberwock [Possibly unique and not eligible, also for my wife's love of whimsey.]
Protean, Keketar
Titan, Elysian

Bestiary 3:
Flumph [Coolest monster in all of D&D's history.]
Rakshasa, Maharaja

Bestiary 4:
Erlking
Kaiju, Mogaru [Gojira!]

3.5 SRD Epic Monster:
Behemoth Gorilla [King Kong!]
Dragon, Epic, Force, Great Wyrm
Dragon, Epic, Prismatic, Great Wyrm
LeShay [Most powerful official race of humanoids I have ever encountered.]

OK, the list is only twenty-four forms long and two of them might not be eligible. I think I have three sources of Wishes on this list and a huge selection of abilities and standard spells. I am looking for two things here: critiques of my choices and help finishing the list to it's full seventy-two forms. Anyone game?

I believe many of Monkey's forms were things like inanimate objects, including building. So you might want to add items to the list and things like palaces. I would suggest maybe allowing for magical objects. That way a PC might be walking around with some feather token or bowl they found, only to learn later that its Monkey (or whoever it is in your setting that happens to have this ability).
