 There are other RPGs than D&D out there. Games like : HERO, Rifts, FtA, TRAVELLER, SERENITY,  and oh yeah...GURPS.

It seems to me there's more people who are upbeat (or at least open minded) about 4E here than detractors. Besides, anything is better than last weeks shitfest, which had bollock all to do with D&D in any incarnation.

I'm sure someone will be ranting and frothing about something. This is the internet, after all. :pundit:

Or in other words: I can't think of any other reason he'd have quoted me before making a statement regarding there being other games than D&D. It's odd because the last two threads I've started here have been about other games than D&D.

Yeah, because, you know, speculating about 4th Edition isn't talking about RPG's, right?

Should we move all discussion of "industry" aspects of 4e to the off topic discussion group next? Shouldn't this thread be in Off Topic? It's not even about 4th Edition - it's about forums!

Or maybe Kyle can give us a 1000 word essay on how we are supposed to, and not supposed to, talk about new editions coming out - a sort of Menifesto of Future Editions.

And then - we can post in all the threads how this topic is so not worth the attention that we felt the need to post that very fact...in a thread...about the topic.

But I have to say clash - starting an entire thread to complain about a subject you don't want to talk about takes that aspect to a whole other level.

My prediction - 4e will do just fine and there will be still plenty of things to bitch about.
