What newer materials for older editions or retroclones do you consider must haves for your table?
I'm talking random generation tables, hex crawl procedures, etc.

I agree.

I agree.
Yeah, these aren't MUST HAVES but they are pretty nice.
Tome of Adventure Design
Random Terrain and Encounter Generator from BRW
AX1: d30 DM Companion
AX2: d30 Sandbox Companion (New Big Dragon)
Wilderness Hexplore (which is a free reimplementation of the old Judge's Guild random hex stuff)

Hadn't heard of Wilderness Hexplore but I love the old Judges Guild Ready Reference sheets, I'll give it a look.

That's great. both .pdfs have a real old school vibe to them.

Hmmm. Well, these are probably my top-of-mind non-adventure sourcebooks:
- Mother of All Treasure Tables (3.x book from Necromancer Games)
- The Primal Order books: pre-MtG WotC generic books on gods and planes, available at https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/5669/Hostile-Work-Environment
- The Nocturnal Table: a night-time supplement by Gabor Lux to Matt Finch's City Encounters (for S&W)
- Trent Smith's Heroic Legendarium: new spells and classes for Gygaxian 1e, at https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/16955/Storm-Fetish-Productions
- new MM books: Monsters of Myth, Malevolent & Benign (2 volumes), Dwellers in Darkness
- Random adventure tables design books: The Tome of Adventure Design and The Dungeon Dozen

I'm if fan of
Lamentations of the Flame Princess, though I usually play
Forbidden Lands nowadays if I run Fantasy.
Viens of the Earth is one of the best osr books I have ever read. It is beyond awesome. I do not know why, but it was never reprinted.... you can still get it in PDFs at least. The thing was made for LoTFP but it is not hard to use it in a d5 setting if that is your thing for some reason.
It is all about caves and labyrinths under the ground. Has a cool "darkness" mechanism that I love. A fantastic dungeon creation system where the DM can build dungeons on the fly as the players explore and awesome monsters.. and well... you know I haven't even scratched the surface.
The one thing I regard as indispensable is easy to use hex mapping software; for me that's the ancient (mid '90s) Arr-Kelaan hexmapper - https://breeyark.org/aar-kelaan-hexmapper-and-more/
After that it's procedural content generation tools such as encounter tables & treasure tables. I don't have a single go-to for those, but tend to default to BX and its clones, unless I'm using 1e AD&D and OSRIC. I like how Moldvay Basic has a low power magic item table and Cook/Marsh Expert has a separate high power table. Not many clones follow that model unfortunately.
I need encounter tables handy, and that's it. Guess I should keep a list of names too. And hex-mapping software, sure, although I do that between sessions.
When playing 5e, I used to keep the PHB and the MM always handy, and even now (playing B/X) I sometimes reference spells and monsters.
But I've been playing online, so it is all a couple of clicks away.
Fro creating monsters, adventures, etc., I use my own tables, but I have been using published modules lately.

The Random Esoteric Creature Generator For Classic Fantasy Role-Playing Games and Their Modern Simulacra
There is a lot of great monster gens.... I have been using this one for years... A new edition came out in 2019, but it is pretty much the same as it was back then.. No need to track it down. It is a seriously fun generator and has cool prompts for monster features that can really aid ad-libed description.

The Random Esoteric Creature Generator is indeed AWESOME... But, as I've said, I use my own (if you allow me to pimp it). :D
I found that RECG gave me completely random monsters, so I wanted to create something that gave, for example, undead that felt like undead, fey that looked like fey, etc., which is one of the reasons I created the Teratogenicon.

Another book worth checking is the DCC Monster alphabet. Awesome for pure inspiration and fun.
For the actual results of the random tables, however, I'm very fond of my own tables (of course I'm very biased...).

Very cool. I may check this out.
i get it all done at the moment using D6 Fantasy/Adventure/Space, Staw Wars D6, and OSRIC.
Judges Guild adventures from the era, particularly stuff from their Pegasus magazine.
Fan materials? Like fan-created stuff from the interweb and stuff?
