This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

5-10 years ago: homebrew fantasy systems based on elements from older games. Used BRP, Storyteller etc. Never been completely satisfied, heading to minimalist system like Everway.

15 years ago: Mage the Ascension, plus others. Didn't really think about system, ran contemporary fantasy/horror using Storyteller with tweaks. Introduced to Lace and Steel.

20 years ago: Vampire the Masquerade. Call of Cthulhu.

25 years ago: Palladium games, mostly. Warhammer 40k rpg using a mixture of the original Rogue Trader and WFRP 1e.

2008 - Spirit of the Century (is it that old?) and D&D 3.5
2003 - D&D 3e, early 3.5
1998 - I just moved to Maryland, I think we were tinkering around with AD&D2 soon thereafter, and had an abortive attempt at playing world of darkness and a bit of rolemaster.
1993 - I was still in the Navy. I didn't play as much as I would have liked to then. There were a few games on board of AD&D, but I seldom had time to play them. When on the off-crew, we played a little AD&D 2e, Megatraveller, and I tried Over the Edge and soon decided I hated it.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!

5 years ago = D&D
10 years ago = D&D
15 years ago = D&D
20 years ago = D&D

Oh yeah, and a number of other games as well.  But D&D is the staple.  Edition?  Doesn't matter.
