Maybe Chronicles Of Riddick, if Dark Heresy wasn't so equipped to run a game like that.

A decent Gundam type mecha game would be awesome especially if it did a proper job of covering the different settings that gundam has covered over the years.  Of course you'd have to make sure the players didnt end up in any of the uber powerfull game breaking mobile suits, but the universe is big enough to allow any number of different groups without messign up the central storyline of the shows.

Maybe. I own Fading Suns. Tried to read it. It bored me, I never looked at it again.

Quote from: RPGPundit;290402Wouldn't this game just involve having a bunch of random plot, setting and device tables that make no sense and rolling them over and over again until the campaign became unprofitable?

I'd seen that game before. I think it was the Twin Peaks and X-Files RPGs.

Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Typical that I'd break a 2 year silence to say something about Gundam, but it's worth mentioning that I own two different Gundam RPGs (both about the OYW, and including 08th MS materials).  The problem is that they're in Japanese. >_>;  For what it's worth, the lack of licensed Mecha anime RPGs is one of the things that has prompted me to start writing my own mecha RPG...

Like I stated before, I agree. I think it would be easy to keep game busting gundam out of the picture. Just keep it restricted to the One Year war or just shortly there after. So the original Gundam, 08th MS Team, or 0080 War in the pocket.

There was a series of articles in the now defunct Mecha Press magazine about how to convert Mekton over to play closer to Gundam.

Damn,  I miss Mecha Press.

I bought the PDF of one of those issues from drivethrurpg, actually.  Unfortunately, one of the Mekton Zeta designers has since done a set of guidelines for running Gundam with Mekton Zeta that I think is better than the old Mecha Press articles, and to an extent, the Japanese Mekton-based Gundam RPG.  It sadly breaks once you go past Char's Counterattack tech-level mecha, but there you go.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Frankly, I can live without tech like that seen in Gundam F91 or G-Fighter Gundam so it doesn't really bug me too much.

Hope it's useful.  It's a bit inaccurate in places, but if it bugs you, you'll notice and be able to correct it to suit your tastes.  For what it's worth, grunt mecha from F91 through to Victory are okay, if a bit expensive compared to earlier UC stuff.  The cost multipliers take the V2 Gundam into the thousands of points though (The Mega Beam Rifle alone clocked in at about 1,000... Yeah).

So as not to go totally off-topic, I'd also like a translation of the Shin Megami Tensei RPGs, or a TRPG based on Gundam MS Saga.

I would like to see Spycraft sourcebooks for the The Destroyer and The Executioner book series.

Having read nine of the books, I could also go for a Rifts or Gamma World sourcebook dealing with the Vampire Hunter D property.

KrakaJak

Disgaea.

I hear Shin Megami Tensei has a tabletop rpg in Japan, so a translation of that would be cool.

A Discworld RPG that didn't use Gurps. Same with Hellboy. I like Gurps, I just don't think those properties work right with that framework.

Gurps: Doomsday (the movie), also Gurps: Nightside (the Simon R. Green novels)

Nightwatch/Daywatch/Twilightwatch/Final Watch would be really neat :D

A game of Giant Robots fighting cthulhoid horrors that's black and white.

It does, sadly untranslated.  I own one of the older editions.

What's wrong with Mongoose's Cthulhutech?  :D
