This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Alien Nation was indeed a cool movie TV series (and would make a cool RPG - think of the possibilities...) but I can't help liking Otherworld. It's kinda of multigenre and 80's chicks seem hotter (which really has nothing to with the topic, but always worth mentioning, IMO)

Edit: You mean this : http://www.therpgsite.com/showpost.php?p=249014&postcount=3 , right, droog ? Ok, ok...the Matt Dillon movie of the Bukowski novel is cool, too : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYFT5RNW47I&feature=related

This game came very very close to being a Holmes RPG.  Honestly you could probably use the cases therein as game campaigns.
Bedroom Wall Press - Games that make you feel like a kid again.

Arcana Rising - An Urban Fantasy Roleplaying Game, powered by Hulks and Horrors.
Hulks and Horrors - A Sci-Fi Roleplaying game of Exploration and Dungeon Adventure
Heaven\'s Shadow - A Roleplaying Game of Faith and Assassination

Narf the Mouse

The Death Gate Cycle.
Alan Dean Fosters' Commonwealth (Pip and Flinx)
Terry Brooks Shannara/*Running with the Demon universe (If done right)
Robert Asprins' Mythverse.

* Read the hints he drops. :D
The main problem with government is the difficulty of pressing charges against its directors.

Given a choice of two out of three M&Ms, the human brain subconsciously tries to justify the two M&Ms chosen as being superior to the M&M not chosen.

Edsan

None really.

What I would like is for some of the ones who already got a RPG treatment that turned out to be shite to get a second chance.

Didn't GURPS already come out with a sourcebook for this a while ago? GURPS: Humanx or something?
"Meh."

Dunno - I don't follow GURPS. How good was it?

Yes. Yes, since half of the time they are company killing pieces of shit.

I'd love to see Mongoose Traveller sourcebooks for Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Larry Niven's Known Space, and Jerry Pournelle's CoDominion.
"Meh."
