This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

what RPG do you most enjoy reading for pleasure?

Does anyone else even do this?

My current favoroite is CoC d20. I've never played it and likely I never will, but it is fun to randomly open a page, in just about any section, and read. I wish more games had this going for them.
You are posting in a troll thread.

Yes.

Right now it's GURPS 2004 All Star Jam.

Dominus Nox

Transhuman space.

Traveller.

Battlelords of the 23rd century.
RPGPundit is a fucking fascist asshole and a hypocritial megadouche.

Yamo

In order to qualify as a roleplaying game, a game design must feature:

1. A traditional player/GM relationship.
2. No set story or plot.
3. No live action aspect.
4. No win conditions.

Don't like it? Too bad.

Right now, it's The World of Synnibarr and its supplement, The Ultimate Adventurer's Guide, because I'm going to run a one-shot on April Fool's Day next year and I need to get reacquainted with the badness of this game.  This game is a laugh-riot when taken as black comedy, especially the psychic Nazi assassin elves.  (No, really; the game lore actually says that this fictional group modelled itself after the Gestapo.)  It's so cheesy that I could make fondue out of it.

Coplen

Burning Wheel is the current one. Before that it was the new Tekumel.

As usual, I line up with Balbinus here. I don't read RPGs for pleasure, just to run them or to mine them for ideas.

I'm not sure if I'm reading RPGs for "pleasure"... but I guess it's not really "work" either. :D

Old issues of Dragon.

Good stuff. I've found the DMG has some really good advice in it that seems "fresh" in a strange sort of way now that I look at it again all these years later.

I tend to read whatever I'm running for pleasure as well as for the game so right now it's WFRP and it's assorted supplements.
