Just as it says on the tin: What game material have you purchased lately? Could be a core book. Could be an adventure.
Whatever.
I will start off. As I have said in a few threads the Old School Essentials Rules Tome is my latest purchase. I don't buy much these days, only the games I know I am going to play or run.
There are a few suggested adventures for OSE that I am also looking purchase in print.
So what have you purchased or downloaded lately?
I just got the "Terror on the Dark Frontier" Campaign for Savage Worlds Rifts.
I picked up The Darkest House and have decided to run a Halloween game this year using it for my friends. Also picked up Weird Frontiers and Delta Green, because I'm a sucker for just about anything Cthulhu Mythos-adjacent.

Sounds interesting. Can you give me some information on that?
Dungeon Alchemist... a really robust program for generating game maps.
Foundry VTT... I'd used it playerside previously, but when I took over running for that group I bought the program myself so I could build offline and also run sans the Forge servers if necessary (the players can link in via any browser and my computer's IP address if I wanted to do something outside of the Forge server access another player is covering).
Sidebar - Dungeon Alchemist will export into Foundry format so that all the walls, doors, windows and lighting from your DA map will be automatically generated in Foundry. The two together are a very solid set of tools for running online... particularly if you set up a Discord server with some tabs for world lore and such (I highly recommend an "off-topic" thread too to keep that stuff contained).
Other than that, some new dice, a few minis and lots of paper and printer ink would be the bulk of my gaming purchases.
Free stuff wise I've enjoyed the Star Wars for 5e (SW5e.com) material as it actually seems to be trying to turn the otherwise rickety frame that is 5e into something more mechanically robust and it made for a nice change running a SWTOR-era Ex-Sith who crash landed on a D&D world and is the snarky genre outsider (which light-side Sith already pretty much were in SWTOR anyway).
Beyond that I mostly use bespoke systems for running campaigns so there's little need to purchase material (anything I would actually want to reference is probably on a free wiki as mechanics from another system are pretty irrelevant to my needs).

Wow, that's very cool
I ended up with a bunch of stuff on Humble Bundle, lots of Kobold Press, but included Forbidden Caverns of Archaia which I printed at Lulu, & am using for humanoid monster lairs in my 5e D&D games.
My main acquisitions were the free 5e Player's Guide to Xoth and a bunch of free Xoth stuff for Legend - Dipur city guide & several adventures. Converted them to Dragonbane for a cool S&S campaign.
At Target last week and purchased the 5e Essentials Kit in case I could get a work game going. Two days later guy at work said he wanted to get a face to face game of DnD going. Hadn't been in a group since he got out of college. We've dragged a couple of other video gamers at work to give it a try. May have a group of 5 or 6, most are noobs. Going to start with a rendezvous with a dwarven courier on the new threat materializing from Ice Spire Peak. The dwarf will be a shape-changer, of course, an agent of the BBEG. Besides the BBEG being from somewhere far, far to the north I'm not going with anything else for the first session. Will see what they go for characters and what they have for background ideas and any inter-group connections they want to start with. The map, using the Known World with modifications.
Mongoose Traveller 2nd Edition, the 2022 updates and Explorer's Edition.
I have not not had a good word to say about the game or publisher since the play test, but looking at what has come out recently I can't maintain that opinion. The vast majority of stuff that annoyed me has been fixed and the result is a very good game that I enjoy.

That Xoth Player's Guide really scratches an itch.
I just got Dream House of the Nether Prince cause i heard its a great high level dungeon it looks promising.
My only purchase in a while has been the Savage Worlds Fantasy Companion in PDF. I'm deep in my own development right now, and aren't looking for new material.

How is it? I am assuming thats the new one for SWADE? I am thinking about picking that up myself.
Just ordered a copy of Whitehack 4e. It is the only d20 system, outside OD&D, that I'll run. The entire WH series has been great.
It was a little early for a 4th edition, but he broke up with the OGL. Happily spend a few bucks on that!

You can create it for either. The program has presets for map sizes based on paper size or "unrestricted" for digital maps.

It took me a couple days to grok the coding, but I was able to use their custom system creator module to build character sheets that will do all the rolling for attribute, skill and attack/damage checks at the push of a button. The hardest part was getting the dice notations to work, but once it did the players could just type "2d8+8" in the damage block and it will roll 2d8+8... so there's no need for pull down menus of dice types followed by entering a modifier separately... just type "1d8+10" and you're done.
My system is a bit different in that players roll everything (players roll their defenses vs. the opponent's static attack value, players roll their attacks vs. the opponent's static defenses) so the targeting automation is something I haven't quite worked out, but in terms of play at the "table" its working fine because when the player hits the "roll" button it gives me two check rolls (because there's an advantage/disadvantage mechanic) and the damage roll and critical roll all in one block so interpreting the results is easy enough.

It really is... and you can get quite intricate with your lighting and animation effects. Just watch the first 44 seconds of this (after that it gets into a technical tutorial) for the sort of things you can link to attack and spell actions.
I backed 2D6 Dungeons on kickstarter. I like the idea of Solo RPGs and dungeon crawls with lots of tables to roll on. I played the free version of the rules and really enjoyed it as a little time waster.
I'm really getting into these solo dungeon crawling games. I've played Four Against the Darkness which I liked. And D100 Dungeons which I found to be a clunky mess with far too much to memorize for a solo RPG. My favorite so far though has to be NoteQuest due to the included rules for overworld hex crawling and world generation.

That is nice. When I have a chance I am going to check it out.
Twister and a can of Crisco
Precis Intermedia's reprint of the first two Wee Warriors adventures and their setting: Palace of the Vampire Queen, The Dwarven Glory, and The Misty Isles.
At GaryCon I bought a bunch of DCC stuff and a neat set of metal dice. (The dice are metal but in the same color scheme as my cheap plastic 70's OD&D dice, so yellow d4 and orange d6, and so on.)

I haven't finished reading through it yet, but I'm underwhelmed so far. I don't want to say much more until I fully read it, though.

I have heard good things about SWADE Pathfinder.
I bought some B/X, and AD&D reprints with the intent of running them for my game at work (running OSE for them): X1 Isle of Dread, X2 Castle Amber, B3 Palace of the Silver Princess, I6 Ravenloft, Against the Slave Lords (A1-4), AC 9 The Shady Dragon Inn.
While I was travelling I stopped at a Game store in Kansas City and snagged a copy of Zed and Two Naughts, a 0 level adventure for OSE. I also bought Wizardzine which I have yet to read.
From Ebay, I got a boxed set of Wilderness Survival, the old game from 1974, and will be using the map for my B/X game.
I bought a coly of Tales of the Dying Earth by Jack Vance. A collection of his Dying Earth stories. I guess you could say that it is game related.
My wife bought a hoard of miniatures (which she loves to paint, and collect)
And finally, a wet/dry erase folding map board that I use as a battle mat and map for my games.
This is stuff from the past couple months. Some of them are crowdfunded from a while ago that I just received, some is stuff I backed and am waiting to get, some of them are actual physical books I just went and bought.
Trophy: Dark, Loom and Gold – RPG about doomed treasure hunters braving a cursed forest. Core book, Setting Book and Book for old school campaign style play. I bought the 3 books and I'm currently reading them with the plan to run it at GenCon for some friends
The Lost and the Jammed – A dungeon-crawling, gun slinging RPG. Think Enter the Gungeon if you know what that is. I've read it but not sure if I can get my players to give it a shot.
Vermin 2047 Survival Kit – A fancy quickstart w/ GM screen, it's a post-apoc game with 3 levels of play: Survival- normal people, normal end of the world; Nightmare with a pinch of fiction and supernatural elements; Apocalypse with full on monsters, mutations and powers. I love Studio Agate and their material and I'm working up a short campaign for this but really want a full release for it.
Into the Cess and Citidel – Fantasy urban survival setting, mostly system neutral. Got it mostly to raid for ideas for an upcoming campaign.
Shadowdark – 5E/OSE mashup. One of the other guys in my circle plans to run this once it's fully out.
Castaway – Island survival game using Mork Borg rules. I really like survival-style video games and this one had me curious what they could do with that sort of thing.
BESM Uresia: Grave of Heaven – Pure anime fantasy. I have the old edition and love the setting, but I probably won't ever get to run or play this one.
Syma: Incense and Iron – Dark fantasy based on the history of Iberian Peninsula and games like Elden Ring. I have a plan to run a short campaign this fall, we'll see if it pulls together.
Cities Without Number – Cyberpunk. I don't know if I'll get to run it. My group really likes Cyberpunk 2020 so it's going to be hard to get them to give a different system a go. I guess it depends on how the Worlds Without Number campaign this summer goes.
Yoon-Suin: The Purple Land 2E – Sandbox campaign setting of ancient mysteries, opium smoke, great luxury and opulent cruelty. I'm mostly getting this for fun reading and idea mining.
Thrice-Damned + Montnoir – A pair of solo RPGs with accompanying dungeons and setting locations for each. I do some travelling and these seemed like they might be good for when I'm out of reach of the group.
Ascendant: Rogues Gallery – NPCs for the Ascendant superhero RPG from Autarch. I might get to run this this winter, not sure yet. If I do having NPCs already made will save a lot of time.

It does! Had my 2nd game on Saturday - https://simonyrpgs.blogspot.com/2023/03/sword-sorcery-cultures-for-dragonbane.html
Oh, I bought the Goblin Slayer RPG when I saw it on amazon for £13. It's like 600 pages & very Japanese.
Lately, I purchased Avatar Legends from a store called Dungeon Games from when I visited some friends in Ft. Myers.
I also purchased the hardcover copy of Mythic GM Emulator 2nd edition with the commision I made for translating an adventure from Skirmisher Publishing to Spanish. Here's hoping that I don't get a book with a garbage glue job on the spine like I did with the Flextale Solo Adventuring Toolkit.

Make more words about this one. I liked the first edition quite a bit, what does 2E do better?
Just recently? I preordered the Lustria book from Cubicle 7 (they gave me the PDF right away), and from FGU I got Privateers & Gentlemen plus Flashing Blades.

I also just ordered that from DTRPG and am waiting for it to arrive. I haven't had any issues with book quality from DTRPG previously, but it's been a minute since I've bought anything physical from them.

My last couple of items were several months ago. Probably the OSE Classic Fantasy Rules Tome, and Rappan Athuk for 5E; because that was the latest and most complete version, of the mega dungeon. Solid stuff, by the way. I have stopped buying RPG stuff. I have a ridiculous amount, already.

It's not out yet but scheduled to be released around September.
According to the KS, it's about 60 pages longer than the original with "all-new art by Matt Adams, new monsters, the entire original text, many new appendices and random encounter tables, and 12 fully-mapped adventure sites from across Yoon-Suin for PC groups of various levels."
I've been on a bit of a blitz lately. Since the a little before the new year, I have purchased (pretty much all corebooks):
-Index Card RPG and Viking Death Squad
-The Basic Fantasy Field Guide (already had the core book)
-Maelstrom: Domesday
-Shadow, Sword & Spell
-Helveczia
-Thrilling Tales for SWADE
-EZD6
-Barbarians of the Ruined Earth
-Black Sword Hack
-By This Axe I Hack and its Companion
-Shadow of the Demon Lord
-Rocket Age
-Hypertellurians
In the freebies category, I've picked up and looked at the quickstarts/free versions for: Dragonbane, Shadowdark, Bastard Sword, Heroes and Hardships, and Primal Quest, and free adventures for a few different games.
I'm slowing down on purchases though. Don't really expect to be buying anything else until Shadow of the Weird Wizard turns up (allegedly later this year).
My gaming budget lately has all gone to peripheral stuff. I got several reference books on Norse and Celtic myths--most of which were not very good. Last couple of months, I spent around $200 on printer ink, paper, and other supplies, which mainly got used to support my homebrew system testing. Didn't leave a lot for more direct gaming stuff. :D
Those reference books on Norse and Celtic myths sound like a cool addition, even if some weren't up to snuff. And $200 on printer stuff for your homebrew system? That's dedication!
If you're ever looking to change things up and add a bit of excitement to your gaming routine, I recently stumbled upon what I believe is the best game for real money (https://wealthofgeeks.com/apps-that-pay-you-to-play-games/). It's been a fun ride and a nice change of pace. Who doesn't love gaming with some extra cash involved, right?
So, whether it's peripherals, supplies, or discovering new gaming adventures, it's all part of the gaming journey.
Pathfinder Lost Omens: Gods & Magic
I am on a bit of a spending restriction due to taking flying lessons, but today and yesterday I splurged. I got the Dragonbane box and the Enemy in Shadows Companion as well as the Enemy in Shadows itself. Now back to not spending for a while. :D
I'm in a weird space here. I crowdfunded several things that have since made me disinterested in crowdfunding in general, lol. Mothership 1E, I'm speaking mainly to you. Got the PDFs and then just man I wish I had spent my money elsewhere.
I did pick up the new edition of Talislanta and went all in, though. That one I am looking forward to. But man, all these crowdfunders are really doing is stoking my fire to quit crowdfunding and just get back to buying what I want that is released in physical format already.
Edit to Add: I did back Dragonslayer and have high hopes for it as well. But Tal and Dragonslayer are the two most likely to be non-turds that I backed, after reading the PDFs of several of the others.
So I've bought stuff I now mostly hate and won't play or run, while pining for stuff I know I will run and play but now do not have the money for.
Completing my SR3 collection and picking up SWADE Fantasy Companion are now my main concern that I will be working towards, and crowdfunding be damned.
The Dungeon Fantasy bundle at Bundle of Holding was my latest (owing to limited physical space, I'm pretty much pdf only at this point) and it warms the cockles of my fat, dead heart as GURPS was "our boy," back when I had hair and could see my feet.
My tastes are all over the place this year. Here is the dead tree list:
- Riftbreakers
- Fabula Ultima
- Katana Ra
- Wretched Space (second edition)
- Girl by Moonlight
- Secrets of the Vibrant Isle
- Secrets of the Vibrant Sea
- Vast Grimm + three companion books
- In Flames + Chimera (from a game store clearance rack)
- Mechwarrior: Destiny
- Hostile Solo
- GURPS Mass Combat
- Eldritch Ass Kicking (another game store dust bunny)
- Goblin Slayer
The last 2 products were the Pundit's own "Wilderland's Random Wilderness Encounters" and "Heroes and Villains of the Silk Road" for Sword & Caravan. Before that it was miscellaneous stuff for Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea 3rd edition.
Art of Wuxia from DWD, and Old Pavis (II): The Good, the Bad & the Rowdy.
*Edit* Noticed I already replied earlier. Consider this an addition*
The Twilight Imperium RPG. I purely got it because I like the board game, and have no intention of playing the RPG.
Though I did get a 2nd hand Genesys rule book and set of dice in case I ever get a hankering to try it.
