This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What do you want to play/run RIGHT NOW?

Dark Sun. I'd use the 4e fluff*, and either the 4e rules or my house ruled version 0e with the psionic rules from Caracosa.

*Which is nearly identical to the pre-revised 2e stuff, actually, but presented in a manner that I find more useful/enjoyable- i.e. not " in character."

Star Trek, as long as it isn't run using GURPS.

Nightfall

*is pretty sure he answered this question*

But I'd also wouldn't mind someone else running 4th edition Planscape that I could play in. Maybe.

Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

This minute? Tunnels and Trolls for some light fun and heavy carnage.

Play:

I'd love to play a game I normally run like Spycraft or Fantasy Craft. They have killer chargen systems and I'd love to use it instead of just seeing it be used!

I'd also love to play Danger Patrol again.

Run:

I have a bit of a hankering to run a Pathfinder game in Scarred Lands or a game of Diaspora.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

winkingbishop

I'd love to play in a D&D game from the Basic lineage.

I'm gearing up to run something fantasy using Savage Worlds.  The first setting to really catch my attention was something called 50 Fathoms, which is sort of a magical fantasy/pirate setting.  Unfortunately, the books haven't been updated for the current edition of the rules and dead tree copies are prohibitively expensive.  I settled on a different setting called Sundered Skies, which is post-apocalyptic fantasy based on the idea that the actual world blew up and is now composed of floating islands.  I was surprised by how much I actually liked the setting after I read it, but the pre-packaged plot/campaign was a bit of a yawn.

Psion/Alan,

If you do run a game of Pathfinder in the Scarred Lands, I want to be the first in line.
