This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Best Achtung! Cthulu adventure? Which system (SW or CoC)?

Quote from: JesterRaiin;902945Thumbs up for Ken.

He also wrote a few short sourcebooks for Gumshoe. I recall "Die Glocke" covering same topic...

Die Glocke is solid, and it's only a few dollars to buy, which is a plus.  He's also dedicated several of his Ken & Robin Talk About Stuff podcasts to Nazi Occult machinations, and a few of the thinkers that influenced them.

Quote from: JesterRaiin;902544I've read only "Assault on the Mountains of Madness", "Kontamination", "Trellborg Monstrosities" and "Three Kings". Of those four I liked only the first one - the rest I perceive as boring, unimaginative crap, with graphical design being their only redeeming value. So, "Assault" would be my choice, but it's full-scale campaign, so it's not that relevant to your needs, I guess.

Quote from: JesterRaiin;902559There were exceptions, of course (Space 1889, pretty much everything Jason D. wrote for them), but in general? Looks over entertainment.

Well, shucks... this was a nice thread to stumble into!

World War Cthulhu is also quite nice, if I don't say so myself, as is the recently-released World War Cthuhlu: Cold War. I just finished up my submissions for the Our American Friends sourcebook for Cubicle 7, and will be talking to them about doing something else for the setting.

I'm also quite eager to jump back into Achtung! Cthulhu, as I finished that book with a huge pile of things I'd like to do in the setting.

So Jason, what A!C adventures did you write? :D The adventure I ordered was out of stock, so I'm still looking for something recommended. Ideally it'd be something site-based and fairly early in the war.

Well, I would rather see you sacrificing your creativity on LoGS-related products, but nevertheless I'm sure whatever you're gonna write will be worth reading. Godspeed!

I wrote a majority of Assault on the Mountains of Madness (with a small squad of other writers), but since it's specifically not at the early phase of the war, it might not be what you're looking for.

If it's of interest, in my LoG&S "In Progress" folder, I have the following files in various stages of development:

- Threshold Ghosts
- Advanced Powers
- [NAME REDACTED] New Faction
- Gossamer Coliseum
- Creatures of the Grand Stair

I apologize for any derailment of this thread.

Sweating intensifies.

You... Wouldn't consider creating a separate thread in Amber/LoO/LoGS section of the forum?

The answer is obviously to use Call of Cthulhu for Call of Cthulhu.  For anything Cthulhu, you use CoC (including its variants, like Achtung!Cthulhu or World War Cthulhu).  But every main system other than CoC that has been tried for Cthulhu is garbage.
