This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What are you Planning to run Next?

S'mon

Thinking about converting all my tables over to 5e Wilderlands in one big open world. Been running it online for years, just converted my Sunday game over from high level adventure path to Wilderlands. My musings currently focus on doing same with my weeknight group, where I'm currently running 4e Nentir Vale. One of the players there is a big 4e fan and she creates all the PCs for everyone else, I think the rest of them might prefer 5e.

TrippyHippy

I am running Traveller, currently, and this may continue for some time. I'd be interested in running Pendragon next if it comes through in the mail, or a horror game like Kult or CoC as I have a few ideas to explore.
I pretended that a picture of a toddler was representative of the Muslim Migrant population to Europe and then lied about a Private Message I sent to Pundit when I was admonished for it.  (Edited by Admin)

Spinachcat

I am launching a new playtest group. First up is an S&W/OSR/5e dungeon that needs a new set of eyes - that's a mini-campaign in itself, then a new version of my RPG that's nearly done which will be a test of both the new system additions and setting changes.

Hermes Serpent

Currently I'm running Monster Island with Mythras but next up (in the New Year) is either Pirates in the Golden Age using Blood Tide (despite the errors and misprints it's got some good stuff on running a BRP game in the later 17th/early 18th century) or a sci fi game set in Sarah Newton's Commonality universe or a sort of Firefly-esque game in a generic outer space where using M-Space or Traveller seems most likely.

On-line I'm running Blades in the Dark and next up there could be something straightforward to run over Hangouts (not combat heavy, with loads of RP), maybe something PbtA (Alas for the Awful Sea has some interesting potential here) or Soon-Yuin and Flower Liches of the Dragonboat Festival which sounds really fun.

I'm thinking Cthulhu Confidential. Awaiting the rulebook's arrival, it comes with some adventures as well I believe. If I don't dig that may just go with straight CoC.

danskmacabre

Thinking of dropping one of the DnD 5e campaigns to make way to run Silent Legions
If I can't get players for that, I'll kick off a new Stars without Number campaign using the revised rules, but that won't happen until after Xmas.

Well its been in the works but our first session is still a few weeks of so I guess it counts.  Running a modified Fantasy Age campaign with home brew setting resurrected after 30 years. Last played with D&D 1st ed.

Probably either StarCluster 4 - Star Wars-ish or a playtest of StarCluster 4 - Wavefront Empire. In any event something of no importance whatsoever! :D

I'm considering running The Mutant Epoch. I want something that isn't based on carefully constructed min-max characters with 1+ year of planned advancement to get "perfect" characters. I'm OK with it not being 100% balanced and "unfair" and I'm also quite happy that it has a real degree of danger for the PCs. The real winner is that it doesn't have a lot of narrativist crap dragging it down, and it also helps that the setting is internally consistent with itself even while it is totally gonzo.

RunningLaser

Tonight I start running my friends through the Lost Mines of Phandelver:)

Motorskills

I'll definitely run (or possibly play) some more D&D 5e with my regular group. Probably will finish up Storm King's Thunder by March 2018, so might well us whatever new campaign WOTC issues around that time.

However I am itching to run the upcoming WFRP 4e when it's available, or maybe take Zweihander out for a spin.

Delta Green will definitely get some linked one-shots.

I love Cthulhu Confidential, what a great concept (and execution).

5E Tomb of Annihilation looks like a good bit of fun, need to complete the Tyranny of Dragons first.

Michael Gray

I'm thinking D&D, but I know there's some push in the group for Star Trek Adventures. We'll see what shakes out.
