What are some good short modules?

What are some good modules that are short in length- something that can be completed in an evening or two?  System doesn't matter, just interested in seeing what folks have to say.

Skywalker

Goodman Games released two compilations of short 1-2 session adventures called The Adventure Begins and The Adventure Continues. They were quite good.

I really liked Raven Mine.  Ran it a few times. Mixed it up a bit.  Sixteen pages for D&D.  Reasonably powerful mage, obsessed with his familiar.

This. Both of those books are great.

You might want to look at a few other Dungeon Crawl Classic 16 page/$2 for d20  modules as well.
"Meh."

The adventure in the back of the Basic D&D Red Book is surprisingly good, especially if you spend some time thinking about the inhabitants of the crumbled keep and the goals/resources of the goblins.

More short modules than you can play:

The winners are usually the best of the lot but I found the whole range of submissions worth studying. The modules are really diverse (and some are just jokes or unplayable, artsy, proof-of-concept things).

If I were younger and still had a weekly, ongoing, sandbox campaign I would just sprinkle about 40-50% of all OPDs over a randomly generated hex map and watch tensions between factions and regions grow as the characters stir up things - instant campaign!

My favourite of those would be DCC28 Into the Wilds, one of the best homages to Keep on the Borderlands. It has a small town and four nearby dungeon/encounter complexes that are oozing character and are very different to one another. Each one a 1-2 session affair.

TSR put out a few of those. Packs of mini modules. Got one for Spelljammer.

Dungeon Magazine is great for those. Quite a few pretty short modules. Some mid range and even a few epics.

If you can find them, very early issues of White Dwarf had short adventures and even some longer ones stretched over several issues.

And for a truely short adventure from WD... The Hive of the Hrrr'l. The whole place is scaled to fly people only half an inch tall... :cheerleader:

Cool- thanks:)  This give me something to start looking into.
