This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

We are in the presence of greatness...

The Missus, Queen of the Internet, played your interview for the assembled hordes at the T.'s Third Saturday. Twice, actually. Much humor and delight! :D

Who would have thought, all those years ago, that one of us would be interviewed in the far future by Auntie Beeb?

Shemek hiTankolel

Very nice Glorious General. Congrats!

What is the back story to this interview? Did they hear about your impending book? Or someone on the production team a gamer?

I have no idea! She dropped me an Email out of the clear blue sky.  She said she got my name off somebody's blog, but couldn't remember the blog name.

Well done. I liked the photo they chose too, very typical scene of British kids playing D&D circa 1989.

Thumbs Up!

Is "Bucknard" also somehow a pun on the family name?

How much was this edited from what you remember saying? Is there anything cut that you wish was left in?

tenbones

Dude did you ask her to come play with you? I totally would have asked her.

Gronan of Simmerya

The interview lasted just a bit over 90 minutes.  Yes, she told me it would be cut down that much.

Gosh! I wonder who could have mentioned you on their blog? Some obscure little blog that people go to for strange and
exotic information, I'll warrant. You do find the oddest things in the dusty corners of the Internet, don't you...

Seriously, I don't know for sure. But I do know that when I babble about something, it later appears in some very far-flung and unexpected quarters.

So...when's the Kickstarter for your book???

Gronan of Simmerya

After the manuscript is finished.  Best advice I ever got.

Agreed; damn right! :)

I owe Tavis Allston of Autarch Games BIG TIME for that advice.

The truth is, for the last year or 18 months I just haven't been in the mood to work on it, for a variety of reasons.  Fortunately, I don't owe anybody anything; if I never DO get in the mood to finish it, it's no skin off anybody's nose.

Thank Crom there isn't a mob of people who paid me money wondering where the Hell their book is.
