This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

wait until SATURDAY?!

i wonder how much that license would cost them?  how many trek rpg's have come & gone?

FASA
last unicorn
one in the "star fleet battles" universe

am i missing one?  i guess the license may be cheaper at the moment.  maybe not, with a new movie in the works.

Decipher - you forgot that one.

also the tenuous one GURPS:PRIME DIRECTIVE , which is Really "TREK in the Starfleet Battles Universe" using the GURPS rules mechanics.

STAR TREK has been through as many game publishers as they've been through Comic Book companies - all because Paramount can be a pain in the ass to deal with at times.  (I met one of the guys from DECIPHER - he stopped by the game store 2 years ago. Those weren't his exact words but pretty close) )

My only prediction is that it will be something so far off the radar that most of us will feel like we wasted precious moments of our lives by posting to this thread.

Hey, what can I say, I'm a natural born cynic.

Sadly I suspect you'll be right about this one.  The hype is so high at this point that almost anything will seem pathetically underwhelming.
