Well this is rich, I haven't tweeted today at all, it was working fine but now it's suspended...
I'm @GeekyBugle01 if anyone wants to help me and ask why I was suspended.
Twitter support didn't send you any information about why you were suspended? Did you check your spam/promotions/social folder on your email?
Because I mean, in my case, they directly showed me the tweet that caused it, at least. Likewise, Venger was shown a tweet that he had the option to delete to get restored.

Weird. That recently happened to my Reddit acct. I hadn't posted or anything since around March and 2 weeks ago I got an email notice that my acct was suspended for unnamed rule violations. I went on and nothing had been posted since March. And it was a benign post about some free RPG stuff. I think Reddit is basically toast at this point.
Did you not get an explanation from them at all? When mine was suspended they sent me a thing saying I used a threatening term. What was that threatening term, the word eradicate.

Well, yes, I hadn't seen my socials folder, they indeed sent me an email saying they are limiting the visibility of a tweet for inciting hatred. I'll try and paste the whole message and failing that the pertinent tweet, I can't even delete it.
I mean, I can see how someone could missinterpret yours as making physical threats of violence but mine?

Yeah, that looks pretty innocuous as far as I'm concerned, mate.
For me, the word eradicate was used in the context of telling the British royal family scum to go and eradicate themselves. Twitter doesn't do sarcasm very well.

No, I KNOW it's automated because it would be impossible to police speech with humans. I'm saying that the appeals SHOULD be always handled by humans.
Ok, so your first step has to be to file an appeal, and make it clear that the suspension was based on a typo; the word you meant to put there was obviously "chunk". Make that appeal using reasoned speech, making it clear you had no intent to incite any kind of racial hatred, and that you would gladly delete the tweet with the typo.
Then wait for a response, which in my experience can take anywhere from 60 seconds (so you know that's automated) to a day and a half.
Let us know if your appeal is rejected. If so, we can start contacting twitter support about it.
FWIW, I tried to draw a little attention.

I actually had to look for the meaning of "chink" on a dictionary to understand what happened.
Funny thing. "Chink" means:
a narrow opening, typically one that admits light.
...Which can make sense in that context. An ethnic slur doesn't. It would be like writing "The theatres take a big Guido of box office income." Uh? They get a big Italian-sized percentage of the box office? It just makes no sense.
It is so painfully clear that it was a typo - not to mention that no ethnic slur is ever used that way - that, yes, my opinion is that a AI fired the ban automatically. Which means that we all are in big trouble. "No AI, today, will ever understand that "I'm not in the mood for a gay Christmas" is not homophobic at all.

I've run into this a lot on Facebook. An AI program looking for naughty words doesn't have enough intelligence to know that context matters. This is also a big reason why I say that AI isn't ready for prime time yet.

It would be relatively easy to have a 3 tier system:
First bot detectas naughty words, sends tweet to second bot
Second bot searches for aditional words right next to the naughty one (like those fucking naggers, that fucking X, etc) if it fails to find one of the preprogramed chains then it send the tweet to a human.
Human reads and decides using context.
Message is sent to the infractor to delete or else.
Now you have eliminated 99% of bullshit bans thus eliminating 99% of appeals

The thing is if they weren't so worried their precious AI would become an edglord shitposter it would work much better.
But they aren't even using anything like chatgpt (which isn't asking for much) they are using a basic bitch bot that detects certain trigger words, not taking into consideration any of the words surrounding the naughty one.
Good news, got an answer and says I have to reply (alreadsy did) and allow for 3-5 days for them to review, so maybe it'll be reviewed by a human?
I posted naked titties (the ahem "model" in the October '77 issue of Playboy who was the inspiration for the Succubus in the Monster Manual) but covered her nips up, and suddenly I couldn't get in to my account like 30 minutes later. One person said my account to outward appearance was Suspended, but I answered a few questions on Twit, and it reactivated. Like not even "do you promise not to do this again" but "did you log in from this device? Has anyone else used your account?" kind of security questions and it was back in full swing in another 5 minutes.
Honestly, some of my fringe follows (mostly women, which is strange) have posted porn to their pages every once in a while and nothing seems to happen to them.

I don't post tiddies, I don't even like or RT posts with tiddies on them.
But a fecking obvious typo got me suspended and I couldn't do shit in the account.

I've been trapped in Twitter appeal Hell the last 10 or 11 days because I criticized climate activists and advised them to get out of the fucking road so they aren't run over. I'm not hopeful, but if anyone can help get my appeal through with a positive outcome, I'll be grateful. ;)

If and/or when I get out of it you can count with me.
Edited to add:Dang it! I'm now out of the unjust suspension! Haven't heard from the twatter staf yet, should I delete the post?
And Venger? Got any image of the post?
Ironically, Chinese theaters take an even larger chink (about 70%) of box office revenue.

Is it still your position that you won't delete your tweet? I mean, couldn't you rewrite it after that, in a way that wouldn't be potentially interpreted as a "call to violence"? I mean, I'll go to town for you, but at the very least it would be good to see what the Tweet looks like first, so I can get an idea of how to phrase it, and I mean unless we can make an appeal based on the text being vague and no intent to suggest harm, I'm a bit pessimistic about chances of success.
When you say "twitter appeal hell", do you mean you filed an appeal and they haven't responded? Or that you filed an appeal and it was rejected? Did you make more than 1 appeal?
Because Twitter was so hot and bothered for me to delete the tweet, I assumed it stuck out like a sore thumb, and everyone had been liking and retweeting it for the last 11 days or so.
I just took a screenshot of what it looks like when I try logging in. I'll send it to Pundit because I don't know how to attach an image here.
But to answer your question, it appears as though my appeal to not be penalized, suspended, or whatever is still in limbo. As in, they're considering what to do. So, I was waiting for an answer, but if nothing comes... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
While I did say I'd never delete it. I suppose I could delete it just to repost it again in a way that doesn't trigger my suspension. But it's all social engineering, big tech psy-op bullshit!

Hmm, ok I saw it. I'm guessing that the interpretation of the post was that you were either threatening violence (as in, you would personally run them over) or that you were wishing violence (as in, you hope they get run over).
But I hope in your appeal you argued politely that it was not your intention to wish harm or violence against them, and what you were presenting was in the form of a warning of what increasing discontent with their protests might lead.
Honestly, if I was in your position, I would delete the tweet, and then when restored I would post a more carefully worded version of the tweet that still got the point across, while making it utterly deniable.
Since it's been nearly 2 weeks without any new information on my appeal, I probably should do that. I don't even know if people on Twitter can still see my tweet or even my account?
And yes, I tried to make that clear in 100 characters or whatever piddly amount they gave me to make my case. It's clearly political and biased. Since I can do more good on social media than allowing myself to remain deplatformed, I'll probably just delete the tweet and then repost it with more clarification.
But it shouldn't have even come to that. Where the fuck is Elon Musk, or the people at Twitter that believe in free speech and political neutrality? He does us a favor, then abandons us, then helps us out, then leaves us out to dry... Not cool, bro!

Yes, and we're not tweeting, we're Xeeting. 8)
Update - since realizing that twitter had already removed the offending post, there wasn't much sense in my holding out... especially after realizing no one was coming for my appeal. So, I finally deleted the tweet and got my account back right away. The worst that happened was I lost an extra 4 days on twitter (remember that they wanted me to delete it right away and then accept a 7-day suspension).
Now, I've decided to become worse.
