A bunch of GM advice I've read suggests keeping a list of "true things" about the setting to give it a consistent feel and let you make things interesting by contradicting them. Please help me out! Here's what I have so far:
- Vampires are by nature solitary, territorial predators - working together is a challenge and hunting is always an issue
- Life is very dangerous and brutal - Vampires though "immortal" meet the final death frequently
- Elder (and perhaps beyond) elders manipulate events behind the scenes
- Managing the beast is an omnipresent, fundamental challenge for vampires
-
Arrows make the battlefield very scary for vampires.
- Vampires are the world's best golfers. The tragedy is, no one will ever know.
- Vampires prefer linen to cotton.
- If a vampire drinks the blood of a sheep, they'll grow two extra ears.
- Monkeys aren't afraid of vampires.
- Vampires hear well enough to use echolocation like bats, but they cant scream at a high enough pitch.
- A vampire has to bite 100 people before they're awarded a Dracula medal.

Ha!!!!!!
Killing victims isn't advised. Lower populations and smaller towns and cities means that people going missing gets noticed faster. Murderous vampires are often mobile and even more secretive than most. Many vampire cultivate Herds or Disciplines that allow them to cover their tracks more effectively when feeding.
