This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

RPG-Geek is live, and the Swine have invaded

Because RPG Geek has a fundamentally different function. It's not intended to be a forum for people to bitch about styles of play or engage in edition wars. It's a database of games and game supplements.

So when I go to the page for Talislanta, I'll see linked to it: ratings, comments, reviews, actual play reports, downloads of user content, published adventures, recommendations, other similar games, etc. I'll be able to use the database tools to see what other games fans of Talislanta like to play. I'll be able to form a group of geekbuddies from Talislanta fans, and follow their activities on RPG Geek.

The RPGsite is not a database of games. It's a forum for talking about RPGs in general.

RPGPundit

TheRPGsite has reviews. I would rather encourage more people have reviews here.
We talk about games here. I'd rather encourage people to talk about games here than there.
We discuss theory; I'd rather that discussion happen here, on even playing ground, than over there where the Swine get to control the rules of the game.

We have actual play, we have comments, we have tons of recommendations.
Its just about you starting a thread about Talisanta, and away you go.

Eh.  So the indie fans want to promote the stuff they like.
Can't say I ever agreed with them being called swine and all since they really aren't the problem in RPGs and never really have been.

The D&D in print ONLY crowd (and to a lesser degree any other GAME X ONLY FOREVARS!!111oneone people) are.

Since they won't play or try or care about anything else anyhow.

At least the Forge people try new games even if they may be stupid ones.

(Creepy unwashed freak gamers are a problem too, but creepy unwashed freaks are in ALL segments of the populace really.  Not just nerds.)
