This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've written some German free games.
Plus, I wrote an article for the official German SR homepage, as well as a short-story for a German SR anthology.

(The last one is the only one that actually saw print, and it's the only one that brought me more then a wet handshake and a pat on the back ;) Although the cigarettes I churned through while typing and revising still costed more then all what I've got out from it.
When I ever want to get rich with game design, the first step in my plan has to be to stop smoking.)

When I write "TDE", I mean "The Dark Eye". Wanna know more? Way more?

Quote from: David JohansenThanks, Clash, though giving you an idea you really liked probably doesn't count as an actual publication credit.  I'm always a bit embarassed to see my name printed in larger text then the names of the people who actually worked on the book.  :)
I think I understand you feelings. But Clash probably made those choices based on how crucial he thought your ideas were to the final product coming out like it did so hopefully you've got a bit of pride mixed in with that [oh so Canadian] embarassment. ;)

I designed Dictatus Papae, a game of power, greed, and political backstabbing, in which the players play corrupt bishops in the medieval Catholic church, as well as the spies and hatchet men they send to do their dirty works. It came joint second in the Modus Operandi 24 Hour RPG competition (which had the brief of "design a game with an espionage theme based in an unusual time period"); there weren't masses of entries, but it was a pretty tightly-run thing, and included contributions from the likes of Malcolm Craig, designer of A|State and Cold City. The original version of the game is downloadable free from here; I'm busy finishing off my doctoral thesis, but once that's done I'll try to finish off the (greatly expanded) 2nd edition, which may be published by Modus Operandi's publishing imprint.

Oh, and when I was a lot younger than now, I wrote a couple of ideas for More Tales of Terror, a collection of adventure seeds for Call of Cthulhu that Pagan Publishing put out, and got published in that.
I am no longer posting here or reading this forum because Pundit has regularly claimed credit for keeping this community active. I am sick of his bullshit for reasons I explain here and I don\'t want to contribute to anything he considers to be a personal success on his part.

I recommend The RPG Pub as a friendly place where RPGs can be discussed and where the guiding principles of moderation are "be kind to each other" and "no politics". It\'s pretty chill so far.

I wrote Divinity and some supplements as a PDF only (at this time) project.  Right now, I am slowly working on another game called Destroy All Evil!  The RPG resume is a bit bare right now.
It is unbecoming for young men to utter maxims.

Quote from: HinterWeltDon't be modest Matthew, you co-wrote Roma True20. I do understand if you would rather not admit associating with me though. ;)

Bill

Make no mistake, I am proud to be associated with HinterWelt in that regard.

I was not trying to be modest so much as admit that I don't know if I fit Pundit's criteria, particularly because I don't know where he is going with this.

Quote from: AlnagDoes freely available PDF counts?

If so, I've co-created and published O Fortuna (game) and CREET (setting). Both are in czech language though.

Nope, sorry, in this particular case entirely free RPGs don't count.
