This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I am hoping to make it but plannign on moving with work to Singapore and I don't have the dates for that yet.

Never been able to go Gen Con though it's closer now physically, but finances still taunt me. I may be able to swing it in 2013/14 though. I'm building up vacation hours as we speak.:)

We have a thorough process by which players are matched with personality compatible characters: Congrats ;)

Squirrels are good, they like nuts as much as me. Or maybe it's I'm a nut and squirrels like me? I'm so confused. It's the dreaded Almond Joy paradox!

GameDaddy

Quote from: Marleycat;539791Uninfortunately it's just a fun thought exercise currently but Brendan made a good suggestion that could be realistic.  Regional meetups like a RPGSITE miniconvention done on a sort of semiannual basis. The question is though what would you run GameDaddy? If it actually happened.

Mmmm... I'm working on several old school adventures atm for the summer convention season, a Judges Guild Wilderlands adventure set in Valon/The Great Glacier, that that I wrote in 2004 but never used. A Barsoomian 0D&D adventure featuring a group of U.S. Cavalry that follows John Carter to Mars, and of course Novus Roma, the ancients campaign where the Romans settled a tropical island on distant mythical fantasy world with all the traditional fantasy races and a few new races and monsters thrown in for good measure.

After watching the new Underworld movie, I'd be hip to running a Spycraft Vampires/Lycan adventure set in Chicago, and I'd also be up for running another New Battlestar Galactica adventure featuring the crew of the Mercury class Battlestar Atlantica in the days immediately following the Cylon holocaust.
Blackmoor grew from a single Castle to include, first, several adjacent Castles (with the forces of Evil lying just off the edge of the world to an entire Northern Province of the Castle and Crusade Society's Great Kingdom.

Drohem, I have my preferences but it's your thread so it's your pick.:)

Some very cool stuff GD. I would love to try the Battlestar Galactica scenerio just to see if it works as an rpg.

Spinachcat

I will run Mazes & Minotaurs, Carcosa and then Poison'd just to fuck with everybody.

Caesar Slaad

Quote from: Marleycat;539823Oh my, you sir may be my Frog Prince! I love, iove, love Fantasy Craft ask Benoist.:p

Yeah, before you showed up, I was the sole FC pimper, and was pretty well known for it (that and Spycraft, but some folks like GameDaddy were into SC as well). So it's nice to have a comrade-in-arms.

Are you on the Crafty forums? I'm Psion over there.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

The Butcher

I don't think I'd run anything, with so many people I admire and respect and ask for gaming advice running all sorts of cool stuff.

I'd apply for Benoist's AD&D 1e, Jeff's Traveller, OHT's WFRP 1e, Brendan's Masque of Red Death (see below) and Marleycat's Mage: the Awakening.

If I somehow found the time I might run Call of Cthulhu, or better still, Rifts.

Quote from: BedrockBrendan;539644Gothic Earth is an old ravenloft variant released in the mid 90s. Basically they took the ravenloft concept (a very loose interpretation of it) and ported it into victorian era earth. It is kind of a new game, even though it uses 2e, because it had to rework many of the mechanics for the time period. One thing that stood out (but keep in mind I haven't run it in years so going by memory) is the gun rules were actually kind of nice.

Ah, Masque of Red Death. Had a blast playing this. I played a gallant British hussar. We repelled an attack by hostile Bedouins, digged up some cursed Egyptian shit and ended up indebted to a crazy old Haitian witch and running errands for her around the globe. Ah, the memories :D

Would the BSG game be powered by Spycraft as well, or the BSG game by MWP?

Carcosa powered by OD&D?

Poison'd would be an informal game after the Summit is officially over and we've all been drinking and having a good time.  Draw lots for Cabin Boy. LOL!

I haven't registered there yet I do plan to when Spellbound comes out though.:)

(I'll probably just use Marleycat as my handle easier to keep track of).:)

OK, the OP has been updated!

It appears that theRPGSite Barcelona Summit will have to be expanded to a 2-3 day event now, and will require multiple tables.

Ramon, I hope that you have enough room! :D

Otherwise, we may have to find a hall that will host the event.

I'd be honored but RIFTS that's a crazy game. I played one of those Super Psions out of the South America book. It was SO broken.:D

Hey now! RIFTS would be cool. :D

I have contacts with several nice and affordable hotels. That wouldn't be a problem :)
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Quote from: Drohem;539929Carcosa powered by OD&D?

I'd probably use S&W: White Box or Greyharp's Single Volume OD&D with some house rules, but definitely OD&D as the baseline.

You're all Cabin Boys to me!
