Has anyone here played/read this game?
Science Fiction game featuring elements of nanotech and odd alien stuff...
I've been curious about it for a long time but I've never been able to find out much about it... has anyone here ever had a good look at it... enough to form an opinion?
The only two reviews I can find cancel each other out... with prejudice... and asking about it on RPG.net brought no response at all.

When was it published? Who wrote it?
What's the basic premise of the system and setting?

Written by Matthew Webster... I think first edition was 1999 and second was 2003 by Ionian Game Studio.
Here's some ad copy for the 2nd, hardcover, edition:
"The Xro Dinn Chronicles was originally designed as a hard science fiction game. The technology was inspired by known scientific principles and ideas and transplanted into a fictional setting. This means that, in theory, most of the weapons, shields, armor, communications, and technology could exist given enough time to develop them. Of course, there are a few fantastic ideas for things like faster-than-light travel. All of these ideas were presented with the intent of creating a scientifically plausible setting that was exciting and imaginative."
It's odd to me that it's had two editions but no one I've met, online or off, has ever heard of it.

EDIT: Doesn't matter now... I found both hardcovers for sale on Amazon, barely used, for a total of $ 0.08 + shipping. Cheap enough to take a chance.
I gave a copy of it as a gift to someone who wanted it. I only ever skimmed over it, but it didn't seem to do anything I wanted in a game.
I have it, but am ashamed to say Ive read no more than a couple of pages.
I bought it because it reminded me of Oddworld, the PS1 platform game.
Also the idea of playing aliens attracted me in the same way as did Skyrealms of Jorune.
Seeing as there is a forum interest, maybe I ought to read it now.
