This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I have had the pleasure to add two more interviews with the old guard of TSR.

James M Ward, the author of Gamma World, Metamorphosis Alpha, Pool of Radiance, Greyhawk Adventures. He talks about Gary, his time at TSR, and the continuing mystery of beards.

Rick Krebs, another friend of Gary, author of GangBusters, contributor to Dragon magazine. He talks about Gary, the development process of Gangbusters, and the role of computers with RPGs.

Two great interviews! Thanks for sharing.

Jim Ward gets some press because he is still very active in gaming (Metamorphosis Alpha has its own forum, Jim worked with Troll Lord Games, Jim is currently part of Eldritch Ent games) but Rick Krebs has mostly vanished from the gaming scene. For anyone interested in Gangbusters, I'll mention that Rick sometimes hangs out in the OD&D Discussion boards since we maintain a GB section.

We also have one for MA, but as I said Jim has his own official boards for that.

Thank you for the notice of these random-wizard!  That story that Jim told about teaching and growing a beard! haha   Rick is a cool guy and very forward looking.  You ask different interesting questions random-wizard, which is great.

Thanks everyone.
I have really enjoyed putting together the interviews. I have slowed down on contacting more of the old guard as it can be quite time consuming, but I still have a few more in the works that should show up in the near future.
Stay tuned for more.
