This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The thread in which grubman gloats

This thread provides no purpose other than to gloat at all you losers who can't find a group to GM.;)

I've been playing, for about a year now, with one of the best groups I've ever been in.  During that time we have been slowly playing our way through The Shackled City.  Even though there are 2 other GMs in the group (myself and another) we had a player who was opposed to playing any other games.  It was a bit of a disappointment to me and the other GM, but since the D&D campaign was fun, we didn't get our panties in too much of a bunch.

About 2 months ago, the offending player quit.  I once again petitioned to run Star Wars as a "break" adventure.  The group was totally for it and I decided to wait a bit till the release of the Saga edition of the game to both let the players build up some anticipation, and to give me time to prepare the adventure (and for GMing again for the first time in about a year and a half).

In any case, after I got my first adventure fleshed out, I began to think of how the rest of the campaign would go.  I figured it was time to talk to the current GM about how he would like me to GM this "side" campaign.  I was thinking once a month, or perhaps just whenever we wanted a little break.  To my surprise, he stated he wasn't happy with the development of the Shackled City Campaign, and wanted out characters to leave Cauldron (the city where the adventure takes place).  He wants to flex his creative muscles again and start writing some of his own adventures.  He asked if I would take over GM duties until September!

What can I say besides...:woop: :respect: :woop:

I swear, if it gets delayed again, I'm tossing a coin and playing D20 or D6 and saying screw Saga (OK, screw Saga untill it actually comes out ;)).

I'm such a no-life-loser I'm sure I'll post an extensive (and boreing) actual play thread somewhere...probably with pictures.
