This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thank you again. And I'll definitely have some questions further down the line!
Remember when Illinois Nazis where a joke in the Blue Brothers movie?

Democracy, meh? (538)

"The salient fact of American politics is that there are fifty to seventy million voters each of whom will volunteer to live, with his family, in a cardboard box under an overpass, and cook sparrows on an old curtain rod, if someone would only guarantee that the black, gay, Hispanic, liberal, whatever, in the next box over doesn't even have a curtain rod, or a sparrow to put on it."

Nexus

Great, I have one player that dying to play an Engel pilot (I think he wants to be Shinji homage) and I don't think that's going to fit into an OIS campaign.

Engel Pilots aren't inherently unbalanced, so it could work mechanically. And an Engel Pilot (of an Aral say) may be loaned for some nefarious end.

But there is going to be a lot of time away from mecha piloting, so the player would need to be cool with that.

Anywhere I could find specific information on Miami, Florida in the setting?

Also has anyone done any houserules or fan expansions to add a little more color to the magic/sorcery systems?

There isn't much setting material on a city scale, outside of the adventures.

Not that I have seen. The sorcery mechanics seemed colourful as written TBH

Great, now I'll have to be creative. I hate that! :)

Thanks though

I want to make them more creepier and more disturbing perhaps drawing more on the anime side of the inspirational source material. As is the game is someone more "PG" than I expected from relative expectations and I want to change that.

The Cthullutech line is essentially dead at this point, right? There aren't expected to be any new releases? I haven't found any fan sites so far. Any one know of any?

I found sorcery to be scary as written, though a lot depends on how it's implemented.

Cthulhutech has a supplement in the works (Dead Gods) and a second edition being worked on to follow it. It's most activity is on FB and it's own forums.

Cool. Wonder if the 2nd Edition will fix the "problematic" things it gets ragged on about.

Didn't know there were forums. Did you happen to have a link?

It's unclear at this point. Not much is known other than the idea of splitting the RPG into two. One dealing with military (NEG and Engels) and the other the occult underground (OIS and Tagers).

Thanks this is just what I hoping for

Edit: Or maybe not. The forums look pretty much dead and for about 2 yrs. I don't do Facebook either.

Unfortunately the forums appear to be dead. There hasn't been any posts for two months and I applied a week ago and haven't been accepted. And from some of the complaints that's been a problem for about as long.
