SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looks kinda interesting.

"Less rolling, more roleplaying"?

What's this, the 90s!? :rotfl:

Yeah, had a good chuckle over that one.

Wow, that's some obfuscating word choice right there:
Deem
Assay
Galdr
Solians

I think I'm having flashbacks to Immortal: The Invisible War

It made me smile that their blurb says "It's unique!" but their play test quote says "It's like Numenera!"

Then it made me go 'hmm' when they claim there are no possible hiccups in delivery yet they aren't publishing until August - what is happening until then? I'm sure one of these tasks could get disrupted!

Swords & Wizardry & Manga ... oh my.

Thanx!

SOL Omniversal RPG eh...well it's not like excessive humility ever got anyone anywhere :D

Wow. I just tried reading that. I don't want to piss on anyone's shoes, because I totally understand the urge to overdesign, but wow.

If you ever write a sentence like "Resource is pooled when the gameshark deigns that multiple measures aren't crosscut, but the result can effect the omni-table result" just take a minute to have some beers and get out of the house.

I will.  $25 Australian ships a hard copy anywhere in the world?  Not getting funded is the win condition for this guy.

RPGPundit

Well, at least this one doesn't open with how we're doing it wrong, like Ora Snow's first KS for a heartbreaker.

But the resolution system is based on probability theory! C'mon guys.
You can shake your fists at the sky. You can do a rain dance. You can ignore the clouds completely. But none of them move the clouds.

I miss the 90s games that made a big deal about how they were TOTALLY not D&D! (but they were pretty much D&D)
This forum is great in that the moderators aren\'t jack-booted fascists.

Unfortunately, this forum is filled with total a-holes, including a bunch of rape culture enabling dillholes.

So embracing the \'no X is better than bad X,\' I\'m out of here. If you need to find me I\'m sure you can.

Necrozius

I really like the illustrations. Not much else.
