This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The Commies loved Zeppelins, too

From the A Soviet Poster A Day blog, which has lots more stuff like that. The authour gives a little background behind each one, it's interesting. He takes I think a fair point of view, admiring the accompishments of the Soviet people while speaking negatively of the leaders and the system as a whole. As another described the site, as time passes this stuff looks less "communist" and more "20th century atompunk".

Someone needs to do a campaign of Soviet Grand Projects!

What an outstanding collection of images. There's inspiration here for all kinds of campaigning, but the recent "Wild Blue Yonder" poster is especially good.

BTW, here's the Zeppelin picture Kyle was interested in.

I would love to transplant the 'grand projects' idea to a space campaign. I already have a GURPS space campaign in mind that fits very well, but haven't got it off the ground due to various annoying real-life shit this summer. I've already emailed my players this site. Maybe it'll inspire them too.

It's either that or another C&C dust-up.

Thanks.
Don\'t forget rule no. 2, noobs. Seriously, just don\'t post there. Those guys are nuts.

Speak your mind here without fear! They\'ll just lock the thread anyway.
