This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Just curious what fan sites you consider the best. Whether they offer a ton of downloads or just a great forum.

RPGSite is a given.

http://www.lythia.com/ has TONS of free supplements for the Harn setting. Most of these are perfectly usable with D&D or other fantasy games, as well.

http://www.darkshire.net/~jhkim/rpg/freerpgs/index.html John Kim's Free RPG List has been around a long time, and is a great source of ideas and free games.

http://www.candlekeep.com/ THE place to go for Forgotten Realms info, and they have extensive forums.
Sword and Board - My blog about BFRPG, S&W, Hi/Lo Heroes, and other games.
Sword & Board: BFRPG Supplement Free pdf. Cheap print version.

There's a big list of rpg links stickied at the top of the page ?
I do have to agree that John Kim's site is excellent, though you lose SAN if you read too many freerpgs.

This is the only good one I know of.

The Gaming Den is decent, depending on your mood and tolerance for screeching manchildren.  They focus heavily on math and game design, so if you want to see analyses of game mechanics, it's the place.  On the downside...well, you'd have to read a thread there to get an idea.

Brilliant Gameologists is another website filled with autistics.  Lots of 3e homebrew stuff there.  It is likewise decent for mechanical discussions.  Probably less off-topic nerdrage there, too.

Dragonsfoot is occasionally interesting.  Filled with grumpy old greybeards, but I enjoy reading from time-to-time.
Quote from: Black Vulmea;530561Y\'know, I\'ve learned something from this thread. Both B.T. and Koltar are idiots, but whereas B.T. possesses a malign intelligence, Koltar is just a drooling fuckwit.

So, that\'s something, I guess.

I used to go to Steve Jackson Games forums until I got banned from there.  While I was there though, it seemed good if you like crunchy bits in your RPG settings.

I visit a lot (a ton, actually) of RPG blogs for info/news.  I'm not much of a downloader.  I prefer printed books.

If you like WFRP, strike-to-stun is pretty good.

Classic Marvel Forever is a wonderful site devoted to FASERIP, my favourite RPG (well, second favourite after PHASERIP, my homebrew genre-less adaptation of the system)/

Also, do you follow any of the RPGers on YouTube?  Not the commerical channels, but the hobby players that post videos every few days or so about RPG gaming.
