SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Also "Great Sveni"(of course!) and Dan Boggs. And bless David Megarry for finding the thing!

All of you did something special and I for one am grateful.

And if you read this far, but don't feel it was worth your time, then I will say 'Read me no further, Lord or Lady ... and may the road rise up to meet your face."

I have a 2nd printing as well. I passed on the original project because of the price, but then when I had a chance to buy one later I decided that the price would be more likely to go up rather than down, so I went ahead and took the plunge. I don't regret it.  8)

Just for clarity -

I see in other places people saying our book is a Dandino 5e book. Kind of funny actually.

The 5e section is just a PDF conversion. The book itself is entirely PRE-OD&D to AD&D friendly. Possibly BX?

We are in business and we're not going to ignore the large market of a 5e conversion. When I see people griping because we are offering product enhancements they do not want for themselves it kind of makes me giggle.

You should join in the discussion there and clear the air. Bear in mind that while its members sound incredibly aggressive on the surface, it's because we're all very passionate about RPGs. It may be the only community other than TheRPGSite to be this passionate about old school gaming. You just need to weather through the harsh scrutiny ;)

It came up in a search on Chris's phone. I do not see it in my searches.

If I could go talk to them I would explain I only play original D&D in my house group. I wrote the freaking book with friends and I don't even know how to play 5e.

Yet, as a business person the access to a bigger market is down right stupid to ignore. And, those who buy thinking they will use 5e might even consider trying the pre-OD&D rules in the book out of curiosity once they read it all - so it may even reach new gamers.

I found it. Can't seem to register.

The security question is about Dragon age and I don't even know what that is, I play OD&D.

Then it said I needed to click a Captcha, but I do not see a captcha.

So no fly zone for me.

Our Kickstarter is booming and within range of 50k.

I know some of you here supported the project already.

I want to thank you for helping us have such a successful project thus far.

Hey Kasimir and mods,
Thanks for letting this product discussion sit in here to get more visibility.

Quick Updates:

1- $30 Mass Market Paper Backs now available for those who just want something to read, or want a safety copy so as to keep Hogarth "Cheeto Fingers" Smith from ruining your nice hand bound edition.

Let's see if I can put a LINK https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/secretsofblackmoor/the-lost-dungeons-of-tonisborg/posts/3652172 here that goes right to the Update.

2- And a video interview I did on RPG history and the book here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRb1WqkKTnQ&t=02

I am supporting this YouTuber because he got unfollowed to the tune of losing about half his viewers merely for having a particular guest on his show. I am not political, but I do support good work and find it a shame when people doing quality projects get abused for no real reason.

In other news, I've been poking around Kickstarter and looking at some big projects that got massively funded by certain kinds of people and I must say, we just do the thing and we aren't internet stars either, so we just Get Er Done. I see a lot of huge money grabbing KS that have yet to do anything over a year later. In fact they are proclaiming they won't be doing anything for yet another year.

If you do KS projects, I am always willing to talk to you privately about what you can do to be a success and what to avoid.

Until you can sell 10,000 copies of your game you are just a little guy. Us little guys gotta stick together.
