This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Bilharzia;900192I think these are only "hacks" if you see exclusively see RQ6 as a realistic bronze age simulator, it certainly isn't anymore and I don't think RQ ever was since RQ2 was saturated with Gloranthan magic. One of the things RQ6 has done is move RuneQuest away from such a narrow focus and make it more of a toolkit.

THIS is very helpful. I was wondering how much "toolkit" RQ6 represented and it does sound that all the optional bells and whistles creates a very different RuneQuest experience than previously. Not a bad thing, just a different direction.

Certainly sounds like it puts the power in the hands of GMs to tailor their campaigns. Too much fiddly bits for me, but I can see the appeal.

Quote from: DavetheLost;900520I wrote a Swords&Sandals Mythic Greece supplement and massive solo for T&T 7.5 edition. It remains unpublished, and with the advent of deluxe T&T its future has become uncertain.

T&T! Woot!

I love that game, but I never thought about going Mythic Greece with it. I'd love to hear more about how you adapted T&T for Swords & Sandals. Did you keep the "joke" spell names? Did you change Wizards to Priests?
