This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I want to base a TRAVELLER campaign on the idea of these guys as the hero group or starship crew :

C'mon....you know you can just picture that. Give them a pimped-out Type R subsidized Merchant vessel thats been upgraded to jump 2 or 3 with a dancefloor and disco lights...

This is what a really cool FANTASY RPG should be like :

"Dancing in the Sheets"

You know, if you watch the action/adventure part of that video - I imagine it as an RPG campaign as run by Dr. Rotwang.

Heck, I didn't know that Dschingis Khan was known outside of Germany... but from the comments on YouTube it seems that they even got to the #1 spot in Australia.
That's funny.
And scary.

The misadventures of a German disco band ... in spaaaace?

I'd imagine it like
this and this
with the acting and special effects from this.
And your "Dancing in the Sheets" video would also fit in there just snugly.

And just to make sure: No, I'd not be interested in playing it.
Swords & Wizardry & Manga ... oh my.
(Beware. This is a Kickstarter link.)

Please tell me that you're just waiting for someone to make a reference to the pilot episode of the Limozeen cartoon:

http://homestarrunner.com/sbemail126.html

But that is basically exactly what my GURPS group would turn the concept into....
"By their way of thinking, gold and experience goes[sic] much further when divided by one. Such shortsighted individuals are quick to stab their fellow players in the back if they think it puts them ahead. They see the game solely as a contest between themselves and their fellow players.  How sad.  Clearly the game is a contest between the players and the GM.  Any contest against your fellow party members is secondary."
