This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Is anyone familiar with Aether rule set?

It was on sale on DTRP for 2.50 from a usual price of 25.00. I'm interested in generic systems so I picked it up sight unseen. Has anyone used it or know anything about it?
Remember when Illinois Nazis where a joke in the Blue Brothers movie?

"The salient fact of American politics is that there are fifty to seventy million voters each of whom will volunteer to live, with his family, in a cardboard box under an overpass, and cook sparrows on an old curtain rod, if someone would only guarantee that the black, gay, Hispanic, liberal, whatever, in the next box over doesn't even have a curtain rod, or a sparrow to put on it."

seconds.

It is a simple GURPS. Thought it was neat...

Twenty five dollars not two hundred and fifty.

But still a good deal if you like PDFs.

It is a medium crunch generic system that leans toward modern and near future genres. I ran it a couple times a few years ago. It works. The only reason I ended up tossing it aside was the check system was D100+attribute+skill and one of my players had trouble doing the math...

Thanks! sounds interesting enough to justify 2.50 at least
