This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Stonehell 2, electric boogaloo?

I recently got Stonehell dungeon as part of my fall OSR megadungeon kick. It is fucking great. Which I don't need to tell you because everyone else has been saying the same thing for 2 years.

So, my question: I know volume 2 is in production, but does anyone know when it is supposed to be available in hard copy through Lulu?

Also, I like the look of the two related expansions but don't really want to get them in pdf form (I basically never really use pdfs of gaming products). Anyone know if there is somewhere these can be had in bound hard copy format? I suppose i could print and bind them. But I'm lazy so I would rather command my computer to have someone mail them to me.

The lazy or cheap gamer's alternative to print&bind is print, hole-punch and put it into a folder.
It is my preferred way especially for adventures, as I get all the joy of scribbling notes, changes or setting-specific bits on actual paper without the soul-crushing feeling of ruining an actual book.

Just finished my first session running Stonehell. Total blast. The party is pretty unlikely sounding: a dryad and her pet fairy dragon (my 23 year old daughter's characters...), and an alcoholic sell sword named skippy pete (one of the floating quirky but tough NPC's that bounce around my campaign world) that they rescued from some gnolls. Hard to say how a group like this is going to make out in the dungeon proper, but the session we just did in the canyon and surrounding caves was great. Kind of a mix of running battle, chase scene and dungeon crawl, as the party worked to avoid and deflect a big group of gnolls who were trying to corner them while ducking in and out of caves and ruins.

Supposedly the manuscript was done several months ago (a first draft), but he's too busy doing other projects for other companies to finish it up...so maybe by the end of the year?

That was one of the places I checked out before posting this thread, but the posts there make it seem like the project went silent several months ago.
