This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Still Desperate for Deadlands Material Online

I made a post a while back about the dearth of any Deadlands material online, with most of the websites "last updated" september 1997, or the webring links to a long gone page.

As I have a game coming up shortly which will lead into a short campaign, Im now getting rather desperate for any source material. I have even purchased an old copy of GURPs Old West supplement to help out.

I suppose I ought to be specific about my needs rather than a call for just anything. So based on that premise, I am looking for;

  • Deadlands or Wild West short adventures or diversions - they dont even need to be keyed into Deadlands, but rather life on the road for cowboys.
  • I have all the usual music from the movies, but always interested in having "other" western music that is more atmospheric rather than "scored".
  • Specific background material relating to the American Civil War (I'm British and we have our own civil war to worry about).
  • Ermmmm thats all I can think of for the moment.
Thanks.

This link page should give you most everything of what you need on the US Civil War.  I'm also a Civil War buff, and have visited most of the main (and many of the minor) battlefields, and had a couple articles published on Civil War topics, so if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them as best I can, in this thread or via PM.
