This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looks like an interesting combination of Traveler and D&D, though the world-building stuff at the back looks really good.

Quote from: SineNomine;431801So far I've made back about a quarter of my initial investment in software, ISBNs, stock art and proofs in the first month of operation, and while I expect a downturn in sales until I can get my next product out, it seems to be working about as well as I could reasonably have hoped.
SineNomine,

I mostly just lurk here, but wanted to post that I downloaded the free version last night, and ordered a hardback copy today.  I also purchased a copy of Hard Light.  This is good stuff, and I look forward to future releases.

In case anyone hasn't seen, I've been diddling around with the SWN world generation system for a 40K sector, and I have some suggested tweaks for those of you who prefer more Traveller-like worlds.

Finally got around to download it.

Let me join in the chorus of praise by saying that it's really, really cool. The implied setting feels very Traveller-esque. The system is highly streamlined and layout is excellent.

I salute the new theRPGsite darling! :D

I'm pretty sure Pundit has a copy of SwN. We could certainly do worse that endorse this game forum-wide. The more I read and fiddle with it, the more I really really like it. I bought Hard Light and Skyward Steel and am loving them both. Very consistently good quality all around.

I also downloaded and read it.  I like it. The generation tables, sandbox style stuff is very well done indeed.  Huzzah! I also vote for a RPGsite darling.

:-D

I asked on the purple as well.  Can we publish with this?  A license perhaps?  What about fan sites and material?

Thanks,

As I understand it, yes. It's not OGL because the author wasn't sure of all the legal implications of making it OGL, but he's been pretty enthusiastic when people have made stuff for it.

I wouldn't be surprised if an SRD for it appeared once I get a chance to really figure out what I'm doing; I've been pushing hard to get the monthly Mandate Archive freebies out, plus more for-sale content. I'm a fan of the OGL in the general sense- my next project is Red Tide, a sandbox setting for Labyrinth Lord with tools to help a GM handle the model- but I want to do things up properly. As for fan sites and non-commercial stuff to share, people should consider themselves encouraged to gin up whatever they like.
