This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Take care, and thanks for the fish!

Tell that to the ladies, mon ami. IME a significant percentage of US females is indifferent to Romance language accents but finds German utterly irresistible.

Admittedly, that may be to do with the speaker.

Hmm, maybe Ireland _was_ the wrong place to work at for me...

Well, as I've already got the sexiest accent (scientifically proven) within Germany... ;)

Eh.  It's not like he's really gone, he left us a proxy.

Though at least his proxy is half readable this time.

Well that is a relief.  Now hopefully the empty feeling will go away.

Of course, he will be back.  Sett can't live without us! (or at least without the Pundit)

Me and Setts proxy? For this purpose we clash to often into each other ;) (Last time: Should the GM wield unlimited power and be restricted by hard rules? Or was the clash about plausibility consideration as resolution mechanic after that?)

It's pure coincidence that I've started to post right now during Wowiadwrimo (having got the account since 3 months). Sett didn't ask me to do so.

Well, having sung quite a bit of Bach and such in choir over the years, I find German can be quite beautiful at times. And we had one guy (American, but he'd lived in Germany) in the Bass section to coach on pronunciation, and he could speak it like velvet.

Also, now I think of it, Wim Wenders' "Wings of Desire" in German has an audibule beauty to its hushed, contemplative dialogue throughout the film.

So there, German IS beautiful. It just needs a soft touch. :)

Peace,
